Chapter Five

Nina’s P.O.V
It’s been about three weeks since the snap and I decided to stay in Wakanda to help Okoye and T’challa’s mother out with keeping up with certain things, but I mostly have been keeping up Shuri’s lab  and continued with updates on things she has previously made in the past and out of nowhere, I get a call from Steve and I answer it immediately to see he is with a group of people and saw someone I didn’t recognized, “hey Steve what’s going on, is everything alright” I asked and he nodded, “ya we’re fine, everyone here is planning on getting the stones from Thanos and figured out that he had used them Two days ago for a reason but” he said and he paused as he looked around the room, “but what Steve” I said, “we have to go to another planet to get them from him” the blond women said and I looked to her, “oh, I see” and before I could say anything else, the blond women introduced herself, “I’m guessing you're wondering who I am, I’m Carol by the way, Carol Danvers, I was able to bring Tony back while he was stranded in space along with someone else” she said and I smiled as she pointed to a woman whose skin was Blue and I waved and she did the same, “anyways nice to meet you Carol and when are you guys heading out” I asked them, “after this call” Steve said and I nodded, “ok, I won’t keep you then, just let me know what happens when you get back alright and I hope whatever you guys are planning works” I said and they all smiled and said goodbye and ended the call and I continued with what I was doing until Okoye walked up to me, “hey, what’s going on” I asked, “just came to see how your doing since what happened, because you have been cooped up in here and you also haven’t been eating or sleeping much either” she said and I sighed, “I know, it’s just everything keeps playing through my mind and it keeps me up at night” I said as my eyes started to water and I let out a heavy sigh and for the rest of the day, Okoye and I talk about everything and what we've been feeling since what happened. 
The next day not long after waking up, I got a call from Steve and I picked up, “so what happened yesterday, were you able to get the stone’s from Thanos” I said in somewhat of a rush, “no we weren’t, remember when I told you how he used them Two days before we went to get them from him” he said and I nodded and he let out a heavy sigh and continued with what he was saying, “he destroyed the stones with their power that almost killed him so we weren’t able to get them I’m sorry Nina, I’m sorry we’ couldn’t get your father or Sam back” he said and I began to tear up and I tried to hide it with a smile and nodded, “don’t be sorry it’s not your fault, it’s Thanos’s fault” I said and we both said goodbye and hung up, and I ran back to my room and cried and screamed until I didn’t have the energy to do it anymore and fell asleep and stayed in my room and not coming out for days at a time until a year later, Okoye was able to talk me out of everything that I’ve been through, “Nina, let me in please” she said from the other side of the door and I got out of bed and opened the door to let her in and climbed back into the bed, “what is it” I finally said after a moment of silence, “I’m worried about you, you haven’t been eating or sleeping well for the past year” she said and I started to cry, “I’m scared, I’m never getting my dad back and I’m never going to see Sam again and I’m scared and it hurts to know that it's going to be like this forever” I said and she came up to me to try and comfort me until I stopped, “I’m sorry for putting you through this” I said to her as she rubbed my back, “you don’t have to be sorry about anything, I know how you feel, we all lost someone we love or care about and I know that Nat and your other friends will figure out a way sooner or later to fix this alright” she said to me and I nodded as I wiped away the last of my tears and decided to finally get out of bed and get changed and went to Shuri’s lab to do a few things and as I looked around the lab, I finally felt like it was a second home besides the medium sized hut that I’m living in.        

Five years later
Nina’s P.O.V    
It has been Five years since everything happened and I had recently talked to Steve and they had thought of the idea of making a time machine so that they can collect the stones, but when they came back from collect them, Nat never did and she had to give up her life so that Clint was able to get the Soul stone, I didn’t know Nat for long but I was upset about what happened. It has been about an hour or two and I heard someone walking up behind me and when I turned to see who it was, I was shocked to see that it was T’challa and Shuri, “your back, whatever Steve said he was gonna do worked” I said and we had a group hug until T'challa pulled away with a smile on his face, “there is also a few others that are eager to see you as well Nina, if you will follow me” he said as he started walking and I followed not far behind while Shuri had her hands covering my eyes and we stopped and I can tell we were outside and Shuri moved her hands away from my eyes and I saw my dad standing there and without hesitation I ran up to him and I hugged him tightly and started crying and we pulled away from the hug and I felt someone tapping on my shoulder and I turned around to see Sam and the biggest smile grew on my face and he took my breath away as he kissed me and we both smiled into the kiss and not long after someone cleared their throat and Sam and I turned to see that it was my dad and I giggled nervously as I saw a tree like creature walking up with a gun in his hand, “I am Groot” he said and I smiled until we all noticed a yellow spark into a portal and saw a man with a red cape walk through it, “I am Doctor Stephen Strange and I came here to tell you that Thanos is back at the Avengers facility and I’m gathering everyone to help” he said and opened another portal for us to walk through and when we did I saw Steve and the others with a shocked but thankful look on his face.
After a few minutes of looking around and taking everything in, I heard Steve yell, “Avengers….. Assemble” and everyone started running and so did Thanos army and we all fought against them and after a while I met up with Wanda and nodded at her and and we went towards Thanos, “you took everything from us” we said at the same time, “I don’t even know who you two are” he said with a confused look on his face, “you will” Wanda said and we used our powers as they were able to crush him, until he screamed at someone to rain fire and that’s exactly what happened and everyone were taking cover until out of nowhere it all stopped and started firing at the sky as if something were in the sky and they started firing again towards the sky and then we all something flying through the sky and punched it’s way through Thanos’s ship as it started falling to the ground, “Danvers, we need an assist here” I heard Steve say as he wasn’t far from where I was and we all continued to fight until Carol grabbed the gauntlet from a kid named Peter Parker who he calls himself Spider Man, “I don’t know how your gonna get through all that” he said as I stood next to Carol and the rest of the women came, “don’t worry” Wanda said, “ she’s got help” Okoye said not long after and we all charged towards the crowd that came to us so that Carol was able to try and get the Gauntlet through the Quantum realm that was at the back of a van Scott had but she wasn’t able to make it through as Thanos threw his sword at the van and destroyed it and we were all pushed back.
When I got up I saw Tony trying to get the Gauntlet, but Thanos grabbed it and put it on unti Tony grabbed on last time but was pushed back until he tried snapping his fingers again but nothing happened and then Tony got up and showed that he had the Stones as it looked like he was about to snap his own fingers, “Tony it will kill you if you do this” I said to him after I ran up to him and he had a small smile on his face, “I know, and before I do this I want you to know that I forgive you and your father about what happened with my parents, I now know it wasn’t either your’s or your father’s fault” he said and he snapped his fingers and everyone from Thanos’s army turned to dust and he was the last one to go and I helped Tony sit down against a rock as  a few tears slipped down my cheeks, “thank you, thank you for forgiving the both us” I said until Parker came up behind me as I moved and went to my dad as tears continued to stream down my cheeks and finally Pepper went up to and said her goodbye’s and everyone went down on their knees in honour of Tony and the sacrifice that he had made. It has been a day or so since everything happened and since Tony died and today was his Funeral while most of us were outside while Pepper, Steve, Tony’s daughter Morgan and a few of his close friends were inside as they watched a video Tony had made ahead of time and when they were done, we all stood to the side as Pepper came down first with a layout of flowers in one hand and Morgan holding the other as the rest followed and we all were gathered behind them as the flower layout floated away on the lake.
Once everything was done, Steve had decided to bring the stones back to where they came from as Sam and I walked beside him, “you know if you want I could come with you” Sam asked as we stopped, “it’s alright Sam, this one’s on me though” Steve said, “and besides, you’ll probably get lost or get stuck somewhere and never come back” I said and the three of us laughed at the joke and then Steve walked up to my dad, “I’m going to miss you bud” my dad said “It’s going to be ok Buck” I heard Steve say and they gave each other a hug and I smiled, “don’t do anything stupid till I get back” Steve said as they broke away from the hug and my dad let out a chuckle, “how can I, your taking all the stupid with you” and Steve smiled as he came up to me and gave me a hug as he whispered in my ear, “take care of them for me” he said and I moved away from the hug with a cunfused look, “you say that like your not planning on coming back” I said and he had a smirk on his face, “oh don’t worry I’ll be bac, I just won’t be young like I am now” he said, “what are you planning on doing after you put the Stones back to where they came from” I asked and he smiled, “I’m going to see Peggy” he said and I smiled, “I’m guessing she was your girlfriend back in the 40’s before you went in the ice” I said and he nodded and got on the platform as Bruce counted down before pressing the button and after a few seconds, he pressed it again but he never showed up and as my dad and I turned around, the both of us saw a man sitting on the bench and noticed that it was Steve and my dad and I called Sam’s name and he came up to us and grabbed my hand, “go ahead” my dad said as he looked at Sam as he nodded and Sam kissed the top of my head and walked over to Steve and my dad wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I rested my head on his shoulder and the both of us saw that Steve passed his shield over to Sam as he looked over to us for approval and we nodded and he took the shield and I smiled, “oh and by the wayI forgot to tell you, Tony forgave us for what happened to his parents” I said to my dad as I looked up to him and he smiled and I did the same.
After Sam finished talking with Steve, he came back over to us with the shield still in his hand and we all walked to the front of the house to see T’challa, Shuri and Okoye standing in front of a car as I looked confused, “what are you guys still doing here, I thought you would have left by now” I said and he gave me a hug, “we were about to, but I thought I would surprise you with this” he said as he pointed to the car that he was standing next to and I looked at him in shock, “are you serious, I appreciate it but I am curious as to why you got me the car” I said with a smirk, “for  your help with keeping Wakanda calm and making sure the whole country didn’t end up in a bad place after everything that had happened and we greatly appreciate it” Okoye said with a smile, “and that’s not the only surprise we have for you guys, we can take you to your next surprise if you like” Shuri said, “there’s more, you guys don’t have to do this” I said and Shuri grabbed my hand and we all got into the car and T’challa drove in a separate car with his sister and Okoye drove the car they got for us. As we arrived and pulled into a driveway that lead to a beautiful house, we all got out, “surprise” Shuri shouted as she raised her arms in the air, and a few tears fell down my cheeks and I hugged the three of them and my dad and Sam did the same, “thank you guys, this means a lot and we really appreciate all of this” Sam said, “no we should be thanking Nina, if it wasn’t for her, Wakanda wouldn’t be around much longer, she was the one who helped my mother with all of the things that had been going on” T’challa said  as they all looked at me, “thank you for everything Nina, and before we leave we should let you know that the whole house is furnished and renovated for you” Okoye said and I hugged her and whispered another thank you and we all said our goodbyes and they left. 
After they left, we all grabbed whatever clothing that we had that had already been packed and brought it inside and set the suitcases down and took a look around to find our rooms and as I found mine, I felt Sam wrap his arms around my waist and started kissing my neck and I turned around to face him, “let’s not forget about my dad, let’s just be lucky that he’s letting you date me to begin with, and plus I’m still a virgin and your my first boyfriend” I said as I kissed the tip of his nose and we chuckled as we headed out of the room and grabbed our bags and for the rest of the day we started putting everything away until we all got hungry and decided to order takeout for dinner and enjoyed the rest of the night as Sam and I found a couple of board games before we all went to bed for the night after the long day we had earlier and I decided to take a warm shower and got changed into some soft purple pajama bottoms and a white tank top and climbed into bed, but before I was able to fall asleep, I felt someone lay down next to me and I decided to turn around to see that it was Sam as he wrapped his arms around my waist and brought me close and he whispered in my ear, “I’m glad that I got to be your first boyfriend” he said and I smiled as we looked into each others eyes and kissed each other goodnight and I fell asleep listening to the sound of his heart beating calmly.
