Chapter Ten

Nina’s P.O.V
Six Month's Later
I’m now Nine months pregnant and Sam and my dad have been out on a mission and luckily Sam called saying that him and my dad would be home later today. I was organizing the baby’s room until a sharp pain in my stomach and I immediately thought that the baby is coming so I quickly called Sam to see if he was almost home and before I could press the call button the front door opened and saw Sam and my dad walk in and when they saw me walking over to them as I was using the walls to keep my balance, and they quickly came to me, “hey are you alright, is it the baby” Sam asked and I nodded, “I think the bay is coming” I said to them and they rushed me into the car and quickly drove to the hospital. We finally arrived at the hospital and Sam and I were escorted to a room and my dad offered to wait in the waiting room and after a few hours I was fully dilated they had told me to start pushing and that's what I did as I squeezed Sam’s hand. After hours has passed, I finally gave birth to our son and not long after my dad walked in with a smile on his face, “so what name have you given him” my dad said and I smiled as I looked down at my son, “I’ve decided to name him Lucas James Wilson” I said as I looked back down at my son. After a few more hours of checking Lucas’s health and to see if he was alright and now we are able to take him home and we got lucas into the car and made sure he was buckled in safely and Sam and I got into the car and we drove back home and got Lucas settled in as I sat in the rocking chair in the nursery as I fed him until I put him in his crib after changing him and I smiled to myself as I looked down at my sleeping baby boy until I felt someone wrap their hands around me and I turned to see that it was Sam, “when should we start planning the wedding” he asked and now that I’m thinking about it, I’m wanting to wait until lucas is older, “now that I’m thinking about it, maybe we should wait until Lucas is older if that’s alright” I said and he nodded. 
After about an hour or so I was making dinner until I heard the baby start to cry and I turned to see if there was anyone in the living room and saw my dad was there sitting on the couch as Sam was in our room folding our laundry, “hey dad do you mind finishing this up, I gotta go check on lucas” I asked as he looked at e and nodded with a small smile on his face, “Ya sure, take all the time you need to and I’ll even do the dishes later when we’re done to” he said and I thanked him as he kissed the top of my head and I went to see lucas and I picked him up from his crib and checked to see if he had a full diaper and I changed it and saw Sam walk in as I was changing Lucas into his pajamas and I smiled as Sam grabbed Lucas from my arms as he held him and we walked into the living room as I went to make lucas his bottle as my dad put food on the plates that he set out for the three of us and I went over to Sam with the bottle in my hand and I gently grabbed Lucas from Sam and fed him before I started eating myself. By the end of the night, Lucas had his diaper changed and was finally put to bed and I decided to take a shower and when I was done and dressed, I was finally able to get into bed and cuddle up next to Sam with a smile on my face as I began to fall asleep and After a few hours I was woken up by the baby crying and I got out of bed until Sam grabbed my arm, “I’ll check on him and you get some sleep alright, I know your pretty exhausted” he said and I smiled lightly, “are you sure Sam” I said and he nodded and kissed the top of my head and went into Lucas’s room and I went back to bed. 
I woke up in the morning to the sound of Lucas crying and I checked to see what the time was and saw that it was 9:00 am, so I decided to go and check on him and and changed him before I went to make his bottle and not long after changing him, I heard someone walk into the living room as I sat on the rocking chair as the T.V played quietly and I looked up to see the it was my dad with a small smile on his face as Sam followed not far behind, “morning guys, how’d you sleep” I asked as I looked back down at Lucas, “not bad, it took me a while to get Lucas to go back to sleep after I changed and feed him last night” he said and I giggled, “no kidding, he’s going to be a paint in the butt but I still love him and it’s worth it though to” I said as my smile grew bigger, “it’s totally worth it” Sam said as he went to make a pot of coffee and my dad came and sat down next to me as he looked down at Lucas, “you know, I’d never thought I’d be a grandfather or just a father in general, but now that I’m both I’m the happiest i’ve been in years” my dad said to me as he continued to look down at Lucas, “do you want to hold him” I asked and he nodded and I passed Lucas over to him and he held him gently as he smiled to himself as I saw his eyes began to water, “I hope that nothing bad ever happens to you little man, I know you’ll grow up to be a good man like your dad and sweet and caring like your mother and I know that you’ll always be a momma’s boy” my dad said to him as I chuckled at the last part he said, “I’m starting to smell coffee and I think it’s calling to me” I said and my dad and I both laughed and walked into the kitchen and grabbed a mug and made a cup of coffee and not long after the three of us ate and talked about a lot of things. 

A Year Later
Nina’s P.O.V
It has been a year since I had Lucas and his first birthday was coming up and we decided to celebrate his first birthday today and I have been cleanin most of the house while my dad was watching Lucas as they played until I heard a knock on the door and opened it to see Shuri, T’challa and Okoye and Shuri hugged me tightly and I did the same with T’challa and Okoye and my dad walked up behind me and shook T’challa’s hand as the three of them walked in and Sam walked into the living room after he folded the laundry and we all hung out until others started to arrive like Pepper, her daughter Morgan, Rohdey, Happy and Peter Parker and not long after them Clint and his family followed by Bruce who had also came Morgan and Clints kids were all hanging around Lucas as they played as the rest of us adults just hung out and talked about how everything has been since none of us has seen much of each other since Tony’s funeral after the fight we had with Thanos, “instead of talking about fighting and death, how about we have Lucas open his presents” Shuri said and we all smiled, “I would have to agree with her, I’m kinda wanna move past all the fighting I’ve pretty much retired from it since then” I said with a sighed and went on with helping Lucas open his presents from everyone after a while, the opening of presents was done and Pepper had asked when the wedding was going to be, "Nina, when are you and Sam going to have the wedding, is it going to be soon" she asked and I haven't really put any thought into it because I've been busy with  Lucas for the past year, "I'm not sure yet, I haven't put much thought into it since I had Lucas but hopefully it will be soon" I said with a small smile and she nodded.
     After it has been a few hours, everyone had started to leave and I began to clean up with the help of Sam as my dad played with Lucas for a bit until he went to take his bath and I thought about when Sam and I are going to have the wedding as I did the dishes and Sam was crying them, hey Sam, when do you want to have the wedding" I asked him and he had a thoughtful look on his face, "I'm not sure, maybe in the summer or fall how about you" he said, " how about we have it in the fall, maybe in August which is only Five months from now and I would have plenty of time to plan it all out" I said to him with a smile and he nodded in agreement, "what day do you want the wedding to be on, I was thinking maybe on a weekend or something" he said and I agreed, "ok, how about we have it on the first weekend of August if that's alright" I said and he smiled, "that's perfect" he said as he kissed my forehead as we finished up the dishes and I walked over to Lucas after getting him some pajamas to change into after he's finished with his bath and I went over and grabbed him and brought him to the bathroom and by the time we were done I brought him to bed and read him a bedtime story until he fell asleep and notice Sam standing in the doorway of the room with a smile on his face and I gently got up from the bed and Sam and I went to our room after saying goodnight to my dad and decided to change into a pair of sweats and one of Sam's shirts and crawled into bed next to him, "Lucas is such a mama's boy" he said and we both laughed, "and I'm totally fine with that" I said and kissed his cheek and we both said I love you as we fell asleep.
