Chapter Eight

Sam's P.O.V 
After hearing that Nina is Two weeks pregnant, I immediately hug her and spin her around as I got excited and Bucky walks up to her and hugs her as well and we all talked about it and what would happen now that I'm going to be a Father, "since there is going to be a baby coming along, when do you want to start getting the things we need but if we do we can use my room as the nursery" I suggested and we all agreed on my room being replaced as a nursery, "then where are we going to put your stuff that's already in the room" Nina asked and I thought about it for a second and thought about putting it in the basement, "maybe we can put it all in the basement" I said to her and she agreed "oh and before I forget, we won't be able to find out the gender of the baby, in like Two to Three months from now" she said and I smiled and we decided to get everything ready to bring down to the basement. When we got everything down in the basement, Nina decided to start planning on what the room is most likely going to look like if it were a boy or girl and I helped her with some of it and when we realized what time it was we helped with making dinner and ate and we all hung out and relaxed when we were done eating.

Bucky's P.O.V
When we all went to bed that night, and about a few hours after I had fallen asleep I woke up in a cold sweat after having a nightmare from memories that must have been brought up from the mission Sam and I had gone on for two weeks to find Zemo and luckily we did and I decided to go into the kitchen to grab something to drink and as soon as I did I saw Sam leaning up against the kitchen counter with a glass of water in his hand and I did the same, “can’t sleep” I asked him and he nodded, “nightmare or couldn’t sleep either” he said to me and I shrugged, “both I guess, woke up in a cold sweat from memories from Hydra and I couldn’t fall back asleep after” I said answering his question and we both continued to have a conversation, “I’m glad Nina found someone like you, and I'm beyond glad that she’s happy especially around you and I never thought I’d see the day of me becoming a grandfather to be honest” I said and we both got a chuckle at the last part I said, “thanks man, means a lot and I’m glad that you guys never have to deal with Hydra again” he said and we smiled and we both decided to head back to bed.
The next morning I woke up to the smell of coffee and someone cooking and I decided to get out of bed and went into the kitchen to see Sam and Nina cooking and I went to grab myself a cup of coffee, “morning dad, ho did you sleep, Sam told me you had a nightmare” Nina said to me and I leaned against the counter as I drank some of my coffee, “Ya I’m alright, I slept fine before and after the nightmare but other then that I didn’t do anything physical like the last time I had a nightmare and I feel guilty almost everyday since then since I almost killed you Nina” I said as I looked down still feeling guilty about that day, “dad, I don’t blame you for what happened then, and besides it’s in the past” she said to me and I had a slight smile on my face and continued to make breakfast and ate when we were done cooking and had a good day as we decided to go out and get a few things for when Nina has her kid when it’s born like diapers and she decided to order the crib and matching dresser online and pick it up instore and decided to wait to get the clothing and paint color when we are able to find out the gender of the baby, “well today was a good day” Nina said as the three of us sat down on the couch and let out a heavy sigh after putting the baby stuff in Sam’s old room and getting changed into Pajamas, “ya it was and we should probably do similar like this when ever we get the chance” Sam said and I agreed and after having a good conversation we decided to head to bed for the night.

Nina’s P.O.V           
As we all went to bed, I was cuddled close to Sam and I started to think about what would happen when our child is born and I felt Sam kiss the top of my head and I smiled and looked up at him, “what are you thinking about” he said and I kissed his cheek, “I was thinking about what it would be like when our child is born” I said and I moved to straddle his lap while he rested his hands on my waist, “you know to be honest, I’m hoping for a girl” Sam said and I smiled, “I don’t care what the gender is, I just hope the baby is alive and healthy” I said with a giggle as I leaned down and kissed him before laying down with a small smile on my face. 

Three Months Later      
I am now Three months pregnant and Sam and I are going to be going to the doctors to find out what the gender is and my dad decided that he wanted to come with us as well. As soon as we arrived, the three of us waited in the waiting room until we were called. About an half an hour later my name was finally called and my dad decided to stay in the waiting room while Sam and I were shown to another room and the nurse told us that the doctor will be in shortly and not long after he finally walked into the room, “hello there Miss. Barnes how are you doing today” she said to me and I smiled as I answered her, “I’m doing pretty good thank you” I said to her and she told me to lay on the table so that she is able to use the Ultrasound machine and after a few minutes after putting the stick on my stomach, she was able to find out the gender, “I’m able to find out the gender of the baby, would you guys like find out the gender now or would you like to keep it a surprise until the baby is born” she asked us and I smiled as I was already eager to find out the gender of the baby, “we would like to know the gender now” I said to her and she told us what it was, “it seems that you guys are going to be having a boy” she said and Sam kissed my cheek and I got off the table and we said goodbye to the doctor and went to see my dad and told him that we were having a boy and the three of us decided to go and choose a paint color and buy some clothing as we also already picked up the crib a month ago and when we were done we all went home and relaxed until we decided to order takeout after getting into more comfortable clothes and went to bed a few hours after we ate and I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
