It was the day of the dance and I was so happy for Annabeth and Ryan. Ryan had asked Annabeth to go with him, maybe he can finally let me go. Aliyah had been asked by Jed, one of Ryan's friends, she was so happy. Although I knew my friends were still grieving me, they weren't depressed and self-harming. They were slowly moving on, even if they didn't realize it.

Saturday was a busy day for everyone. Annabeth was helping set up for the dance at Scarborough, Aliyah was organising the food and drink for the party, Jordan was convincing her bofriend to go with her and Danielle was trying to work up the courage to ask Callum to the dance.

"Hey Danielle, I was just wondering if you wanted help with Callum?" Ryan's voice rang through the phone.  "Do you really think he would want to go with me?" Danny asked Ryan.
"He likes you, Danielle. But he's too shy."
 "But what if you're wrong?"
"When it comes to Cal, I'm never wrong."
 "Really?"
"Meet me at the park. We'll head to his house, alright?'
"Thanks Ryan. You know, you've never been this nice to me?" Danielle commented as she hang the phone up.

"Anything for Serena's best friend." Ryan whispered before hanging up his phone. Ryan jogged out the front door and all the way to the park. Danielle got there two minutes later. "Okay, Cal's house is just around the corner. Are you ready to do this?" Ryan asked Danielle as they started walking.  "Yes,no maybe? *sigh* I have to be." Danielle replied as they started walking up Cal's driveway. Ryan knocked on the door.

"Oh, hey Ryan, Danielle. What's up?" Cal answered.

"Hey, Cal. Danielle, wanted to ask you something." Ryan nudged her forward slightly.
"Ummm, Cal, I-er wanted to-uh ask if you-umm wanted togotothedancewithme?" She stuttered and rushed.
"Sorry, can you repeat that slower this time."
 "I w-a-n-t-e-d t-o k-n-o-w, i-f y-o-u w-a-n-t-e-d t-o g-o t-o t-h-e d-a-n-c-e w-i-t-h m-e?" She asked, real slowly.
"Haha, you're so funny Danny. Of course, I'll go to the dance with you. There's no one else I would rather be with."

As Danielle and Ryan jogged from the house, Danielle attacked Ryan in a huge bear hug. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!" She screamed and everyone turned to look  at the two.  "No problem. But you have to go get ready now." Ryan said as he lightly pushed her away from him.
"Okay! Bye Ryan. See you at the dance." Danielle called as she started jogging back to her house.

I watched as every girl was styling their hair and applying their make-up. Aliyah was curling her hair in delicate curls and applying a bit of mascara and purple eye shadow. Danny was tying her hair back in a half up half down hairstyle and applying a bit of red eye shadow plus mascara. Jordan was french braiding her hair adding a tad of orange eye shadow and mascara. Annabeth was straightening her hair and then clipping the front up, leaving the sides and back down. She added a bit of mascara, eyeliner and midnight blue eyes shadow. She looked stunningly gorgeous.

I was just a tad jealous when I saw Ryan getting ready, trying to impress Annabeth. I mean I was happy for him moving on but I just wish it was me he was going out with. Jed was at Ryan's house, getting ready to impress Ali. I was ecstatic Ali got a date but I could tell she wished she could share that with me.

Aliyah was standing in her room, watching the clock tick. The second 6:45pm came round, the doorbell went. Her mother went to open the door and soon Aliyah heard Jed's voice. She started down the stairs in her purple sandals. The minute Jed saw her, he gasped in pure surprise. "Aliyah? You look gorgeous." Jed said, standing at the door in skinny blue jeans and a white shirt. Ali giggled a bit realizing that she has to push him in the water. "You ready?" He asked and she nodded. Jed held his arm out and Aliyah took it as they walked to his car.

Jordan sat in her boyfriend's car while he grabbed his wallet. He doesn't really love Jordan but she loves him. He returned to the car and smiled. "So, are you happy?" He asked her. "Yeah. Let's just go, okay?"
 "Of course. Whatever you want."

Danny sat on her porch, waiting for Callum. Suddenly a head pops up behind the railing. "Hey, Danielle. You look beautiful." Cal said as soon as he saw her.
"Thanks so do you." Cal wore grey skinny jeans and a navy polo shirt. He held his hand out. She smiled and took it and they both started walking towards the dance.

Annabeth stood anxiously in the front yard. She didn't know what would happen tonight but she knew she felt something for Ryan. Something more than friendship. Ryan soon turned up and they both started walking towards the beach which was only five minutes away. Ryan wrapped a arm around her shoulders as they walked. He was dressed in black skinny jeans and a black singlet. Gosh did he look hot.

When Ryan saw Annabeth standing in her dress, he felt his heart skip a beat. Surely he couldn't be feeling anything for her. That would be betraying Serena's memory. He couldn't feel anything for her, she's Annabeth not his Serena. Serena is the only one for him. But then why can't he stop thinking about Annabeth.

I watched the internal conflict Ryan was having. I felt guilty for making Ryan feel this way. He needs to let me go, then and only then would he feel truly happy.

Jed, Aliyah, Danny, Cal, Jordan, Terence (Jordan's boyfriend), Annabeth and Ryan were all dancing and having the best time. The music was 2K14 music and easy to dance. Everyone was having a fun time. No on wasn't on the dance floor and everyone was dancing. Even the chaperones were having a good time. Everyone was laughing when Austyn joined the group.

Suddenly the DJ put on a slower song and Ryan and Annabeth went to dance. They were dancing out of time of the music, completely lost in each other's eyes. They both, unconsciously, leaned in and Annabeth was startled when she felt Ryan's lips brush against hers. Ryan was broken out of his day dream by this action. There was a little spark as their lips touched until they both jumped apart.

"I'm so sorry, Annabeth. I can't do this. I can't do this." Ryan mumbled before running off to the trees that border the sides of the beach. Annabeth was left there standing on her own. "I know you can't Ryan. And I know why you can't. Because you can't move on. But Ryan, you need to let her go. She would want you to."
