At school the next day, Ryan walked into homeroom with his arm around Annabeth's waist. Everyone in the class watched as the new girl and the guy who lost his girlfriend were now going out. Annabeth remembered when Ryan asked her.
Flashback
Ryan pulled up at Annabeth's house after dinner. He helped her out of the car and walked her up to the front porch. "I had a great time tonight, Ryan." Annabeth said before locking eyes with Ryan. Unconsciously they leaned forward and before any of them realized, their lips touched. This time though, the finished the long-awaited kiss.
Ryan pulled back to look Annabeth in the eye. "Annabeth, would you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?"
"Yes. I will be your girlfriend, Ryan."End of Flashback
This morning Ryan came and sat next to Annabeth who smiled back at him. Ms Hutcherson walked in and was surprised to see Ryan sitting next to Annabeth. She didn't think that he would move on that quickly. She thought it would take a couple of months at least.
Ryan was thinking in homeroom about me. He realized something I had never even thought about. "There is no more us...no more kisses, no more hugs, no more good night texts, no more stupid fights, no more I'm sorrys, no more making up and no more chaces." He whsipered under his breath as tears struck his eyes. He blinked them away. "I'll always love you, Serena."
That afternoon, Ryan, Jed, Jack, Austyn and Peter were holding tryouts for the soccer team. Last year five team members graduated so they need new players. "This is how tryouts goes. We put your through a series of legit exercises and after each exercise we will knock out four people until we have our remaining players."Jack introduced then nodded to Jed. "So the first exercise is a shootout. You each have five attempts to get a goal with Peter being in goals. If none of you get a goal we will put Jack in goals and try again. Someone should be able to score against Jack." Jed said earning a slap from Jack.
"Before we start, can I get all of you to sign your names down and age." Austyn called from the benches. The crowd of twenty guys rushed over to Austyn. Ryan looked at all of them. "Only five, maybe six or seven can be accepted." Jed and Jack nodded. "That's the way it has to be, though." Ryan admitted, silently thanking his aim and position as the best soccer player.
Peter stood in goals and had stopped twenty-five balls so far, meaning five guys had failed. Peter wasn't even tired. Twenty-five more balls were stopped and another five guys headed to the benches miserably. It wans't until the second last guy, that Peter's skill was tested. A guy named Evan who was 15 scored the first goal of the day. However the other four balls he kicked missed. he last guy missed all five.
"Okay, everyone except Evan, will be shooting against Jack." Ryan anounced, heading over to where Evan was. Ryan stood next to Evan. "I haven't seen anyone besides myself who could score against Peter. Although I could get at least three scored against him. If you're happy to, I could coach you." Ryan offered, earning a smile and a nod from Evan.
Austyn got home that afternoon to see his parents packing up my room. "What are you guys doing?" Austyn asked, standing at my door. "We are finally acceptying that our daughter is gone and is never coming back." His mother said with tears in her eyes. Austyn smiled and pulled her into a huge bear hug. "It'll be okay, mum. Fate wanted this. Don't think about it as 'fifteen short years and that we should have had more'. But as 'we got fifteen years, we could have had less'."Austyn mumbled, moving away from his mum and moving towards his dad to help pack up my room.
Danielle was hanging in the park with Callum. "Does it still hurt?" Callum asked her. "Yeah but I understand that hurting and falling into a depression is not going to bring her back. Sere would want me to be happy anyway." Danny said as she snuggled into his side. "I guess, I didn't say goodbye because I wasn't ready. But I said see you because it's easier to believe we'll see each other again."
Jordan sat in the movies. Her boyfriend sat next to her. "Are you okay?" Her boyfriend asked. "Of course, it doesn't hurt as much as keeping something from her. She's gone. There's no use pretending she'll come back." Jordan said before her boyfriend kissed her cheek and then continuing watching the movies.
Aliyah was in the cemetery. she placed a blue rose at my gravestone. She needed to say goodbye but she wasn't sure if she could just yet. Ali wasn't certain that she was ready to live without me but she knew she could. "Saying goodbye is most painful when I know we will never say hello again. However I can't say goodbye, so instead I say thank you. Thank you for being in my life for thirteen years, your presence has changed me so much, I never want to go back to the way it was before there was a me and you." Aliyah said as tears fell on the rose and dripped onto the gravestone.
"I'm going to be okay, Rena. You can move on and know we'll be alright without you. Daneille, Jordan, Austyn, your parents, Jed, Ryan and me. We'll be fine." Aliyah whsipered before wiping the tears away and going home where she would start a life without her best friend. But that's okay because everything has a reason and most reaons have a happy ending.
