After 7th grade my father got a new job with his company. Since my mother has no job, there was nothing keeping us in San Diego, so we moved to San Francisco. As you could probably tell, moving was stressful for us. We ended up using 8 U-Hauls!!! After the 4th one, I learned that helping load and unload wasn't the best job to have, after that I did my part as accompanying my dad when he drove them. It was a fun job. After all the kaois, we were in our new house and are doing nothing, just waiting for school to start. Don't get me wrong I LOVE SUMMER, but if you don't know anyone, it gets kinda boring. This summer I couldn't wait for school to start. I know I sound crazy, but trust me. If you were in my place, you would want the same.
HOOOOORRRRRRAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!! It is finally happenning, school is starting! I get dropped off by my older brothers, Troy and Ryan. I know I said that I was exceited to start school, but once I got there, I was scared. What if no one liked my hair, or my outfit, or even worse, MY SHOES!!!!! I was freaking out! If you are like me, you would be too! It was scary. When I got in the school building, something hit me. I didn't know where anything was!!!!! I was as lost as a city kid in the middle of a corn field. I knew I had to ask for help with directions, so I started looking for the right person to ask. I didn't want to draw any attention to me, remember I told you I was shy. But, I didn't want anybody to ask me if I needed help. I tried not to look helpless, and started to look for my first period classroom. I had English first period in room B12. I started to look for the hallway with the "B" classrooms. Once I found them it was easy from there. My teacher, Miss Dylans, was in her classroom preparing for the day.
Miss Dylans was a short, thin lady that looked very young. I guessed that she had only been teaching for a couple of years. I deceided that I didn't know anyone so couldn't talk to anyone, and had nothing else to do, so I walked into the classroom and I introduced myself to Miss Dylans. When I was walking towards her desk, she looked up and smiled. Right then, I knew that Miss Dylans was probably going to be my favorite teacher. She smiled at me and said, "Hello, I'm Miss Dylans and you are..." "Christina Harrion," I said. "Ahhhh," she said, "I've heard a lot about you." Oh no I thought she heard something about me already. She laughed and said, "It was all good though, so don't worry." That was a relief! After that, we talked a lot about moving and that when she was young she moved a lot also. Her dad was a business man with a job that moved him all over the country. We had lots in common, along with our favorite color, #, and birth month. Wow was Miss Dylans cool, I thought. We were going to get along just fine.
Just then, the bell rang. I quickly got to a desk and sat down to avoid being trampled. I carefully observed all the students as they walked in. Some of them had brown eyes, some had blue. Some of them had long hair and some had short, others had big backpacks and some had small. They were all very different, except for two girls that walked in together that looked like twins. Once everyone was seated, Miss Dylans handed out a packet of information that stated what we were going to learn about this year. Then, Miss Dylans introduced herself to everyone. I kind of zoned out because I hd already known this from before class. I looked around again at all my classmates, they all looked friendly for the most part. I mean they didn't look like they were about to throw a riot. (I guess that's good. ) I suddenly awoke from my daydream and started to listen to what Miss Dylans was saying. After she was done introducing herself, she said we were going to play a game. Oooh, I thought, I like games. She said that we were going to introduce ourselves to each other, in a game. Oh, I said that could be interesting...
