When Chase asked me to be his lab partner, I almost fainted! I was so surprized it took me a while to respond. When I got to my senses, I said I would love that. I couldn't wait to show Chase a cute/smart side of me. But, when Mr. Kunter our science teacher said we were going to DISECT A FROG!!!! I almost fainted, AGAIN!!! My life was over, I couldn't let Chase know (or see) that I would puke if I had to disect a frog! Oh no, I had to get out of that room, the smell of the dead frogs was already getting to me. I quickly asked Mr. Kunter if I could use the restroom. He said yes, so I ran out of that room as fast as I could. I had to stall the entire class, I thought. Going to the bathroom was not going to take up a whole class period! I had to think quick, what to do, what to do, what to do!?!?!?! Then, it hit me like a lightning bolt. I could fake being sick! I would call my mom and tell her about my sore throut. To be honest, my throut was hurting a little. What, you don't believe me?!?!

When I worked out the little tweaks to my plan, I went in the classroom and told Mr. Kunter about my illness. He believed me, and sent me to the office to wait for my mom. Whew, I thought, that was a close call. "Almost too close," a voice said behind me. I jumped, I wasn't expecting anyone to say that. It was my mom! She then acted like she hadn't said a word. It was weird, she just acted like I was truly sick. But, when we got in the car, my mom acted like a crazy woman! She couldn't stop laughing. I was glad she hadn't started driving while she was laughing, because then she would have gotten in a car accident, right there in the middle of the school parking lot!!! :o

Finnaly, when I could actually understand what my mom was saying, I figured out why she was acting like a laughing hyena. A few weeks earlier, she had gotten an email stating that we were disecting frogs in science class. Right when she read that, she knew I wasn't going to survive that. She knows me too well. ;) So, she knew I would find a way to get out of it. The reason she was there so early to pick me up was because she just happened to be bringing some "forms" in to school that day. I LOVE MY MOM!!! She's the BEST!!!
