Spencer Reid and Derek Morgan were both sat at their desks, along with Penelope Garcia and Jennifer Jareau. Garcia was in Grey's chair, while JJ was sitting on the desk.

"What do you think they're talking about?" Morgan asks, staring at the windows to Hotch's office.

Reid still hadn't told the team about his relationship yet, since they were quick to leave the break room once he and Anne had gotten to the BAU.

Gideon seemed to have overheard the question, going out of his way to approach the group of desks. He had been going toward to his office, a cup of coffee in hand. "Yeah, I'm actually wondering that as well." His gaze lands on Spencer, assuming that he would have information.

"I know," he provides, instantly catching the team's attention. He begins to stare at the window himself, explaining, "She's letting him know about our relationship. Or at least, I'm pretty sure she is." His expression made it seem like he was being nonchalant, though a million thoughts were going through his head, regarding what everyone's reactions would be.

"I'm sorry, what?" Derek instantly booms. "Relationship? Our?"

Jason simply brings his eyebrows together and gives a brisk nod. "Noted," he states, walking towards his office seconds after.

"You're kidding!" Garcia says, while Jareau matches her tone and says, "You have to be joking."

So far, Reid's guesses as to how everyone would react had been accurate. Gideon wasn't surprised, where as the other three certainly were. He smiles slightly, feeling heat rise in his cheeks. "No, I'm not joking," he denies.

"Well, I'll be damned," Morgan laughs, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. "How long?"

"Ten months."

JJ's eyebrows shoot upward."Ten months?" she repeats. "You haven't even known me for ten months!"

Penelope makes an exaggerated hand motion, saying, "We should've known. I mean, they live together."

"In a two bedroom apartment!" Derek exclaims, a smile on his face. He looks just as shocked about the situation as the women across from him.

"We both have six figure salaries, Morgan. What made you think we couldn't afford the extra bedroom just to have around?" Spencer asks, sarcasm clear in his voice.

He turns toward the man, threatening, "Don't make me punch you." His voice sounded serious, though he was anything but.

Reid's lips curl up even more as he explains, "We actually planned on making it into a small library once the cat was out of the bag-"

JJ instantly cuts him off. "That's definitely not what we're discussing right now," she replies, "I mean, this whole time you've been dating? Seriously?"

"Yes. Seriously."

Derek shakes his head in astonishment, asking,"How do you even hide that?"

"It wasn't really difficult," Spencer replies, shrugging."The only remotely challenging thing about it was making sure you guys didn't notice us sneaking into each other's hotel rooms when we were on cases, actually."

"You guys didn't check?" Garcia asks, looking from JJ to Morgan.

Jareau laughs, returning, "No, Penelope! Believe it or not, a room-by-room sweep to make sure that no fraternization was occurring is not on the communications liaison's list of duties."

"So, what's Ms. Strauss gonna think of this?" Derek digresses. His phrasing made it sound like a joke, but the question was genuine. He knew Strauss, and if she got word of this news, Grey and Reid would be deliberately poking the bear.
