Chapter 29

Tims pov:

It was already 7:25 pm. I just wanted to leave the studio. I have already gone through my album. I need to get home. my producer finished adding the last song to my CD and I looked at Caleb.

Tim: you alright Caleb

Caleb: yeah dad I'm fine

Tim: Byron is it almost done

Bryon: yeah it now on the CD and saved. Um Tim there is this demo that came in and I need you to hear it

Tim: right now

Bryon: heck no its already 7:40pm I have a family to get to maybe you can listen to it at your home studio

Tim: okay

I grabbed my coat from the rack and grabbed my keys and phone. Me and Caleb walked out of the studio and headed to the truck. After about 30 minutes of driving I pull into the driveway.  We walked out and walked inside. Caleb went upstairs to go put his stuff away and I walked into the kitchen.

Tim: babe I'm home

Rayna: daddy!!!!!

Rayna came over and hugged me. I hugged her back and kissed her forehead. We pulled away and Faith was wiping her hands.

Tim: there's my beautiful wife

Faith: hey babe

We shared a kiss and I wrapped my arm around Faith. I heard steps coming down the staircase. Me and Faith turned around and it was Caleb.

Faith: hey Caleb how was your day today with your dad

Caleb: oh it was um well why don't you ask my dad since you love him so much!

Rayna: Caleb!! Why do you have to be so rude!! She just asked you how your day was

Caleb turned away and ran out to the back. Rayna went after him and it left me and Faith.

Faith: hey hates me Tim. He doesn't like me

Tim: Faith he does don't say that

Faith: then why did he answer back to me I mean Rayna doesn't have a problem with me but Caleb does I'm just trying my best

Tim: we can go talk to him its going to be alright 

Caleb's POV:

I ran off. I didnt want to be inside. I came outside and sat in the gazebo they had in the backyard. I don't know what's wrong with me! Faith asked me how my day went and I answered back. I know shes trying her best so she can get along with us. But I'm just here being a jerk to her.

I heard my name being called out. It sounded like a girls voice. Its probably Faith. I turned my head and saw Rayna walking closer to me. 

Caleb: Rayna I wanna be alone.

Rayna: brother you never act like this what's wrong??

Caleb: I said leave me alone!

I raised my voice. Rayna backed away from me. I looked up and saw that she was frighten.

Caleb: I'm sorry Rayna I didn't mean to scare you.

Rayna: Caleb something is bothering you. I know that because your my brother.

Caleb: its just that I'm scared

Rayna: oh what??

Caleb: I'm scared that dad will never love us. I'm scared that mom is dying. I'm scared to have Faith as my mom

Rayna: Caleb I'm pretty sure that all of this is mostly about Faith?

Caleb: it is. I'm scared that she is going to replace mom, Rayna. This is really hard.

Rayna: Caleb you should get to know her better. I feel comfortable around her. Yes, mom may be dying slowly but I know she left us in good hands. Faith is only trying to help us.

Faith: its true Caleb

I turned and saw Faith standing with dad. She looked sad. I caused all of this. I looked down and they walked closer to us. Maybe I should give Faith a chance. I've been really stubborn.

Faith: Caleb, I'm not trying to replace your mom. I just want the best for you and your sister.
