It's been a year since we decided to turn this building into a home for psi kids. We have some blues who make sure people who don't belong aren't here.
Ryan had built up courage to ask me out and I said. . .
Yes. We've been dating for about 4 months.
It was just a normal day, and everything was fine. One second I'm playing a game of Uno with Layla and the next we're trying to get everyone out of the building. Psi guards and some reds I believe, attacked.
When I saw them I electrocuted the building so it would be easier to get out. The guards were using the white device and the reds were lighting everything on fire. We got as many people out as we could. We told everyone to run and to find somewhere safe.
It was the 3 of us in the Yugo car again. We kept stuff in the car, just in case something like this would happen. Ryan was driving, I was in the passenger seat, and Layla was in the back with a map.
"Layla, where are we going?" Ryan asks from the driver seat.
"I'm lookin, I'm lookin." I hear from behind me.
"Once you've got a place for us to head to, let us know." I hadn't said anything since we got into the car.
"You okay?" I looked at him and shook my head.
"Everything we built. Gone. All those kids. Who knows what's gonna happen to them now." I was trying to keep my emotions under control so that nothing would happen.
"Take a nap Sasha. I'll wake you up if something happens." After he said that, I decided I would try to get some shut eye.
I haven't used any of my powers but I feel so drained. I think with what happened, I'm emotionally tired.
If I can get even an hour of sleep, I'll probably feel better but I don't know. I can only hope.
