Soulmates

Sam flew down landing on the floor looking up a Cap and Natasha who were standing up on the platform. He looked around him a the other recruits but the girl lowering herself to the ground with red swirling around her caught his eye and he just couldn't seem to look away. 

Then as if sensing his eyes on her she shot her head up to meet his gaze and her recognized her. She was the girl from the news. Her and the quick speedster helped in Sokovia against Ultron. 

He wonders where the other guy is at seeing as he is not in this room. 

He is pulled out of his thoughts when Cap shouts Avengers and before he knew it they are all making their way up to the other two. He sees the girl blast herself up there and she arrives first and he shortly follows but when he gets there he sees the three locked on a embrace both Natasha's and Steve's arms rapped protectively around her. Then they stand her in between them when the other arrive Rhodes being the last to arrive and when he sees the girl he comes over and ruffles her hair saying, 

"Hey Little Witch" and slinging his arm over her shoulders seemingly protectively as he sees Vision next to him send her a small smile. 

This makes him wonder why they were all so protective over her. The only thing Sam can think of is that something happened out in that fight and they are trying to shield her from anymore harm. 

Now what happened?

His attention was drawn back to Steve as began to speak but it soon drifted to the girl who had yet to speak one word head tilted down towards the floor seemingly not paying attention. 

And before Sam knew it they were dismissed. 

Sam saw Rhodes sweep the girl into a embrace before leaving followed by Vision sending her a smile and resting his hand on her shoulder before floating through the wall. Turning back he saw the three making their way to leave both Natasha and Steve's arms thrown over her shoulder like they were her overprotective parents. Then they broke apart Steve leaving Natasha and the girl while they walked towards the bedrooms Sam following on his way back to his own room. 

He saw them walk down the hallway and to his surprise enter the same room. 

Something was definitely wrong.

They seemed to be trying so hard to keep her safe.

But from what?

Sam went to bed that night with a mission to find out what happened and introduce himself to the mysterious girl the next day. 

The next day Sam woke up and headed downstairs turning on the news and his answers he was looking for fell seemingly right into his lap. 

There on the screen way video of what happened in Sokovia. He saw the girl protecting this core like thing before they showed her collapsing to the ground a flurry of red around her seemingly in pain leaving Sam confused. But then they changed the image and it all fell into place. There on the screen was the dead body of the speedster. It then panned to two pictures of them their names displayed at the bottom. 

Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. 

Twins.

And it all fell into place. 

All of a sudden there was a red burst breaking the TV in half and he spun around to see to Wanda Maximoff herself standing there her face void of emotion. 

Then she spoke one sentence that changed everything. 

"You did not need to see anymore."

And at that his soul mark flared to life with the words her had been waiting forever to here and his eyes widened

He looked at her to see her turning towards the kitchen and just as she was lifting a mug off the shelf he spoke.

"I can't believe it."

The mug clattered to the ground as she spun to face him eyes wide mouth parted. 

"My Soulmate."

She spoke quietly and he slowly made his way towards her and when she didn't back away he swept her up into his arms as she buried her face into his neck.

When they pulled back they both had smiles on their faces and Sam whispered,

"I'm here now, I got you." 

Wanda sighed in content and they both knew it that moment they would have each other forever. 

Now all Sam had to deal with was the seemingly overprotective family Wanda had built.
