Soulmates#2

"Don't worry." Those words ran through his mind everyday. Those were the only words she had said to him. The only words.

But they were the only words that mattered.

They made the mark on his wrist sting.

His soulmate mark

He had never gotten a chance to speak to her again. To speak his words to her so that she knew they were soulmates. He had returned to Queens, his soulmate not even knowing that they were connected. But he knew.

He checked everyday to make sure she was okay. Reading the articles about her, Sam and Bucky and all the places they went.

But then he saw her in the most unlikely place. The library in Queens. There she was in the non fiction section. Two books being held up by her magic one in her hand, her eyes flipping back and forward through them absorbing every word.

She was right in front of him. He was frozen. Until he wasn't, someone bumped into him sending him flying towards the ground. She looked up and rushed towards him helping him off the floor.

"Are you alright?" she asked "Yeah, Yeah i'm alright." He said.

She gasped her eyes widening. He found it adorable. Before he knew it she had leaped forward and clasped her arms around him. H wrapped his own around her and sighed.

Finally

Finally she knew

She was here

She leaned back took his wrists revealing his mark and the words 'Don't worry'

This made her eyebrows furrow and she looked at him silently questioning when she had said those words.

"We've met before, on the battlefield," he explained. Her eyes widened again before it clicked "Peter? Spiderman?" nodding to confirm she hugged him again apologizing for making him wait and not knowing at the time but he just hushed her. It wasn't her fault, none of it was.

Leaning forward their lips connected and sparks flew.

This was it

He was in love

He couldn't have him away from her anymore. He finally had her, he couldn't see her leave again. "Stay here." He said once the disconnected their lips. She looked at him questioningly to which he elaborated, "Stay here in Queens with me. Don't go back to New York, I need you here and safe." Her eyes softened and she nodded in response.

He pulled her into another fierce embrace and he knew then life was good.

Not just good but perfect

They left the library hand in hand never looking back only looking forward to their new life together. They knew they would enjoy every moment of it.

They were soulmates after all.
