(A/N)
This story WILL NOT FOLLOW THE VOLTRON SERIES. For the most part, it will be different. Your POV
Since you learned how to talk, you wanted to pilot. The thought of gliding through the sky and into space made you smile,
"Good thing I'm in flight school now!" I thought as I gathered my notebook, class timetable, and computer.
"Today's day one, a day for new opportunities, new relationships, and new dreams." I walked down the corridor to my first class.Basics of Flight,
Teacher: Iverson, MI reached the ajar door and walked inside the classroom.
"Yay I'm not last! But I'm also not first"
Students were coming in behind me and I had to find a seat quickly.
I panicked and sat in the front.
"Well, I guess I can't move now.." I thought as others started to fill the seats around me.I didn't notice but a boy came and sat down next to me, I glanced over at him. He had hair as dark as night and piercing purple eyes.
"I better start making friends..." I thought as I prepared to introduce myself to the boy.
I opened my mouth to talk but a tall man started to yell."Attention! Students! Welcome, I am Commander Iverson. Head of the Garrison and I am honoured to teach you all today." He had a stern expression and a resting bitch face, that's when I knew he would be a great teacher.
"I will take the roll and have a short chat with each of you, I like to get to know my students." He nodded and walked up to the first student on the left.
"Dammit! Why'd I sit up front!" I thought as other students started to chat amongst themselves. Iverson really was having a short chat with them. He was already at the boy next to you.
"Name."
"Kogane. Keith Kogane." The boy said.
"Alright Kogane, hope to see you in one of those one day." Iverson pointed out the window to a fighter jet taking off. Keith nodded and looked away.
Iverson walked up to me.
"Name."
"(L/N)"
Iverson nodded as I was shaken by fear. "I knew a man with that name... (F/N) (L/N)."
I opened your mouth in surprise. "That would be my father...Sir!" I looked up at the commander who nodded his head.
"Good, wait till you try out the simulator today... see if you inherited some of his skill." Iverson walked off to the next person.
"What?! Simulator?!" I groaned in my head as I wish I hadn't said that. I knew my father used to pilot, I even got taught a few things, but not with the commander of my dream school!
Iverson quickly caught up with the rest of the students.
"Attention! Since it's your first day.... we'll have an assessment on taking off in the simulator." Iverson smirked. The students groaned and sighed.
"Damn, he was serious."
"Lets start with.... you!" He pointed to a boy in the third row. I was relieved that I didn't have to go first, I couldn't help but feel a bit bad for the boy. We all huddled around the entrance waiting for his results.
He didn't do too well, yikes...
"34%! We'll work on that...." Iverson sighed, "How about you go (L/N). Give it a shot."All eyes were on me.
I cried on the inside as I walked toward the entrance. Once I was in I sat down in the pilots seat. Gulping, I picked up the helmet and communication system and put it on.
I took a deep breath as I remembered what to say.Taking off was like riding a bike. It takes practice, you can be a bit rusty.
Like I was.I still managed to do it without crashing, I spoke to ground control clearly, and got onto the correct runway.
"Thank god I did it! Iverson would've had a horrible impression on me otherwise!"Suddenly a 𝕊𝕀𝕄𝕌𝕃𝔸𝕋𝕀𝕆ℕ 𝔼ℕ𝔻𝔼𝔻 message appeared on my screen. I sighed as I got up, ready to face Iverson.
(AN)
Wow, I completed a chapter. I promise they'll be longer than this, I'm still working on the plot.
Also it would mean a lot if you checked out my first AN, I have a few questions.
Thanks!
