Me and Shane have been dating for a few months now.

I've brought our friend group to the hotel a few times, but Shane goes the most by far.

No one else in the school knows about our relationship, other than our friend group.

Our friend group has gotten closer, because we know each other secrets.

Let's just say, my Polaroid pictures have doubled.

Some are me and my friends, but most are Shane.

Whenever Shane comes to the hotel, I have to hide him from my dad.

Not because I think my dad would have a problem with me dating a boy, but because I feel like he would ask questions that might make Shane uncomfortable.

Cause, ya know, not everyone wants there boyfriend's dad asking them, "have y'all fucked yet?"

But today, is the day I'm gonna tell him about Shane.

I wake up, at 11 pm, being that it's a Saturday.

I check my phone and, as always, I have a sweet good morning text from Shane.

Shane: Good morning Ry! Hope the day is as amazing as you:)

Me: Stop it :) your too sweet. I have something to ask you...

Shane: Ok, what is it?

Me: How would you feel about meeting my dad and telling him about us?

Shane: Is he ok with you dating boys?

Me: I would assume so. He's a wonderful, accepting father. It might be a little hard to drag him out of the hotel though...

Shane: Ok let's do it. Do you have a plan?

Me: Kinda. I'm making it up as I go. Meet me at the restaurant next to the hotel.

Shane: What do I wear?

Me: Just wear what you'd normally wear. It's not a fancy lunch, it's just a meet up to talk.

Shane: Time?

Me: 12:00 pm! See you!

I turn my phone off and dart downstairs, after choosing someone to watch over the hotel.

I see my dad in the lobby on his computer, probably because nobody is in the party room since they're all hungover.

"Hey dad!" I say, and he gives me a fake annoyed glance.

"Can't you see I'm busy?" He asks jokingly, motioning to the computer he's using to play, what he calls, "those games you kids are into."

"I'm sorry to be a bother, but I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go to lunch? I know a good restaurant down the street!" I say, and his fake glance softens.

"It's been a while since I've been out. But who's gonna watch the hotel?" He asks, and I smirk.

"I already got it covered." I say, and as if on cue, Matthew Anderson, one of the best workers in the hotel, walks into the lobby.

"I've got it covered sir. Go have fun!" He says, putting on a peppy smile.

"Wow. You really want me to go to this huh?" He asks, and I nod.

"Ok then, I'll go. How long will we be gone?" He asks with a head tilt, and Matt steps in.

"Don't worry about it sir. I've got this hotel covered for the whole day." Matt promises, and I smile.
