Today is February 14th, Valentine's Day.

Shane wanted to get me something, but I told him I wanted to get stuff together.

It's Saturday, so we had the whole day to ourselves.

We went to Starbucks early this morning for coffee, and Chick-fil-A for breakfast being that no one goes to Starbucks for anything other than coffee. (And if you do, god bless you!)

Then, we had a picnic at the meadow for lunch, where Shane made me a flower headband with hot glue, and black headband, and fake flowers.

He said he didn't want to, "harm the real flowers."

Fucking adorable I know.

Then we went to a, somewhat, fancy restaurant for dinner.

Lastly, we bought stuff to make chocolate covered strawberries at the hotel.

After we finished making and eating the strawberries, we decided to watch movies and cuddle.

Which brings us to now.

"Let's watch a Disney movie!" Shane says excitedly.

"Whatever you want..." I say with a chuckle.

Shane takes his head off of my chest so he can reach over me and grab the remote.

He turns on Pocahontas, and cuddles back into me.

I kiss his cheek and wrap my arms around him.

He watches the movie intently, and as soon as Colors of the Wind came on, he hopped out of my bed, grabbed a nearby hairbrush to use as a microphone, and started singing:

"You think I'm an ignorant savage. And you've been so many places, I guess it must be so. But still I cannot see, if the savage one is me, how can there be so much that you don't know? You don't know..."

I grab the remote to use as a microphone and join in:

"You think you own whatever land you land on. The earth is, "just a dead thing you can claim." But I know every rock, and tree, and creature has a life, has a spirit, has a name!" I sing along.

"Umm...excuse me. This was a solo, not a duet!" Shane says in a joking tone.

"Ok then..." I say, sitting down with a smirk.

"No! I was kidding! Sing with me." Shane says, trying to pull me up.

"No, no. I wouldn't want to ruin your solo." I mock jokingly with air quotes around the word solo, and Shane starts to seem genuinely upset.

"Please Ry!" He begs in a whiney tone, giving me a pouty face and puppy dog eyes.

I boop his nose to let him know I'm not mad at him, and start singing:

"You think the only people who are people; are the people who look and think like you! But if you walked the footsteps of a stranger, you'll learn things you never knew you never knew!"

He smiles and starts singing with me:

"Have you ever heard the wolf cry to to blue corn moon? Or ask the grinning bobcat why he grins? Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?"

"Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest. Come taste the sun sweet berries of the earth. Come roll in all the riches all around you. And for once never wonder what they're worth."

"The rainstorm and the river are my brothers. The heron and the otter are my friends! And we are all connected to each other, in a circle, in a hoop that never ends."
