Chapter 8 - Unknown

I was moved into Sofia's the next day. I had an only an hour to pack all my stuff, but surprisingly, I managed. The hospital hadn't let me see my mum. They said she was in too much of a state, and it would only make me feel worst, if that was even possible. I felt horrible. I felt guilty, like it was all my fault. I could have done something, instead of just staying upstairs helplessly.

Everyone kept trying to reasure me, saying it was none of my fault, and that if I did go to help, it would have just risked my own life, and not just my mothers. But inside, I still knew it was all my fault. If I hadn't kept it a secret about being abused, it would have been ok. Mum would have called the police, and dad would be in jail, away from us.

But then, it could all go wrong. If dad would have found out I told her, he would have killed both of us. Like he had threatened to. I shuddered at the thought and kept walking, in the direction in the house I would be staying in for the next couple of months.

"Char!" I heard Sofia shout as I walked into the big closed garden. High-fences stood everywhere, to make sure the family dog Jet, wouldn't get out or escape.

"Hey Soph!" I beamed, as she squeezed all the air out of me in our embrace.

"You excited for our two months long sleepover?" She asked, as she helped me upstairs with my bags. I had three bags full of everything I would need for the coming months. Well what did you expect? Im staying for two months!

"Yep!" I grinned. She oppened the door of her One Direction covered room. What surprised me though, was that there was no camp bed on the floor.

"Er, Sofia?" I asked, biting my lip nervously.

"Yeah?" She turned around from her laptop screen that she had just turned on. Did that girl do anything apart from stalk celebrities everyday? And I thought I was bad!

"Where am I staying?"

"Oh! Yeah, you've got your own room!" She beamed, closing her laptop lid.

"Really?" I gasped. I was expecting to share a room. But my own room? Even better. I wasn't the best with sharing, plus, I liked my privacy.

"Yep!" She said, popping the p, "Follow!"

I picked up two of my bags, groaning at the weight. Sofia decieded to be nice, and carry the heaviest bag that I had. She then walked out of the room, and down the short hall, with me following closely behind. We walked past her older sister Caela's room.

I could hear her favourite singer Ed Sheeren playing softly through the speakers as we passed. I smiled to myself as I recognized the song as Drunk. My favourite song from the ginger god.

"Well, here you go!" Sofia oppened the door to a room I had never noticed before.

It was quite small, about the size of my bedroom at home. It only fitted a small single bed, a wardrobe, a small desk with a dell laptop, and a bookshelf. All you needed in a room. The wallpaper was baby blue, and the ground was new wood. A window was placed just across from the bed, as the sun rays shone in, making the whole room look inviting.

I felt at home already. "Its perfect!" I smiled as I let go of the bags, jumped on the bed, and lay back, sighing happily.

"I'll leave you to unpack then, I will be in my room if you need me!" I heard Sofia say, before the door was slammed shut. I sat up and looked around. I didn't have much to unpack, so as soon as I did, I decieded to go for a walk on the sea-side.

I walked up to the first bag, and emptied it, my clothes piling on the floor. I put most of it in the wardrobe, and some on the chair in the corner. I then put all my study books on the bookshelves, along with the other books I had. I also put up a few posters I had in my bag.
