Peter woke up in a daze as he rubbed his eyes, taking in his surroundings. He expected to wake up in the old bed of that rundown hotel but when he opened his eyes he was startled when he saw he was somewhere completely different. The bed didn't have a bad scent of alcohol and smoke, but it smelled fresh, more like his bed at the base. He sat up paranoid, panic beginning to set in. So many questions ran through his mind and he couldn't focus. He took a few breathes to calm himself, thinking logically about where he might be.

He saw his ear muffs sitting on the bedside table and he grabbed them, placing them around his neck as he quickly hopped off the bed defensively. The room was bright, circular and the walls were made of glass. He started to think of all the possible things that could have happened and who would have done it. Maybe it was HYDRA and they made it out ok, and they were picking up their soldiers is all, Peter started to calm down hoping that case but his heart started racing when he saw Bucky come towards the room through an elevator.

This time anger filled inside of him.

"What's going on Bucky! Why am I in here!" Peter immediately demanded quickly walking over to where he stood from outside the room.

"Peter you don't have to worry, we're not with HYDRA anymore, I went out last night and-," Bucky started but Peter beat him to it.

"What? What do you mean we're not with HYDRA? Where are we?" Peter asked not liking the expression on Bucky's face. He always knew he talked about wanting to leave but Peter didn't. He had nothing else, nothing to go to, and why go when you have everything there. He gets fed three filling, healthy meals a day, he's got a warm room and bed, he even had a window. They trained him to be the best version of himself, they made him stronger. They raised him from when he was a little kid, teaching obedience, giving punishment only when it was needed, they taught him how to be strong, how weakness is bad. Peter thought they did a good job raising him.

"You remember my old friend I'd tell you about from when I was in the war?" Bucky asked calmly trying his best not to upset Peter with the news.

"Yeah, what about him." Peter asked confused.

"Well he was one of our targets, and when we left, while you were sleeping at the hotel I left to go back and check our old base and he found me, I remembered him and he agreed to take us in with his friends." Bucky said as Peter just stood there with a shocked and honestly betrayed look on his face.

"We're here with our targets? Master said they were dangerous! What were you thinking!?" Peter says quite loudly feeling betrayed, like his buddy just decided to all the sudden play for the other team.

"Peter I know you're mad but you need to understand that what they're doing is good, they aren't the enemy, I promise you, they won't hurt us." Bucky said to Peter knowing that no matter how tough he wanted to be the daily pain still haunted him.

"So you betrayed HYDRA? You betrayed me?" Peter asked softly, feeling hurt.

"Peter no, I would never do that to you, you don't understand, there's now way we could have stayed there, I promise you they're good people." Bucky tried to explain but Peter wasn't having it. His head hurt with every thought rushing through his head, giving him a headache.

"Just go." Peter mumbled softly staring at the ground feeling tears well in the back of his eyes, wanting things to be true but he knew it wasn't going to last, they'd lock him up 'till the end of time.

"Peter I-,"

"Just go!" Peter said loudly this time looking up at Bucky. He just nodded, silently turning around and going right back into the elevator.
