Cameron's POV
My tears were still streaming down my cheeks. I have no clue what is happening or how I'm taking this. I heard the door opening and closing.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for Calum Dallas?" I heard a voice. I looked up and saw Alexis at the front desk, talking to the lady.
"Alexis." I said and she turned around. I stood up and walked towards her, embracing her into my arms.
"I don't know what's happening!" I cried into her shoulder.
"Cameron, calm down, it's going to be okay, Calum's okay" She said.
"What if she's not!?" I screamed.
Alexis' POV
"What if she's not!?" Cameron screamed at me.
"What if she's dying? I just got her to actually be mine! and she could be dying Alexis! She's having our baby! Our baby is most likely dead! This whole trip is just ruined!" Cameron screamed, scaring me. I felt tears running in the rim of my eyes.
"Cameron! Calm down! How do you think I feel? She is my best friend! Before you got married I considered her as my actual sister! I'm feeling the same thing you are Cameron! The same thing!" I yelled back at him. He sat down on the chair, his head in his hands.
"Cam. I'm sorry, you know how I get when you yell at me." I sat next to him, rubbing his back.
"I just can't loose her. I can't." He mumbled.
"I can't either Cam. I can't either." I said, continuing to rub his back.
We sat there for what seems like forever until the nurse finally called Cam in. I sat back, since only one person can visit at a time.
Cameron's POV
I sat up from my chair, heart racing. I followed the nurse into the room that Calum was in. I saw her on the bed, watching me as I entered the room.
"Are you okay?" I asked, grabbing her hand. She nodded.
"Bad news or good news first?" The nurse asked.
"Bad." Calum said, her voice shaky.
"You lost the baby." The nurse said and I just looked down, tears forming back into my eyes.
"Good news?" Calum asked, her voice cracking.
"The other baby lived." She said. My head popped up.
"Wait, what other baby?" I asked.
"Mrs. Dallas, you were pregnant with twins, both boys. One passed away, but the other is still inside of you, extremely healthy." The nurse said, causing me to smile. I looked at Calum and her face was stiff, probably from all this news being thrown at her.
"How did the other baby die?" I asked, probably not a good idea to ask, but I had to know.
"He was growing to fast, taking to much space in Calum's stomach, if you didn't get her here in time, the other baby would be dead." She said. I took a moment to let all of this sink in. Twins? That would be way to much work. It's like this was suppose to happen. I mean, I would have loved him, here or not. But I honestly am happy that we are still having a baby. It's also a boy. Makes it easier to name, with more time.
"Would you like some time alone?" The nurse asked us.
"Yes please." I asked and she left the room. I looked at Calum, who was staring at the wall.
"Calum, please at least look at me." I said. She didn't budge.
"Okay, I'm going to go get you signed out. Please just don't let this get to you. Twins would be hard work, we're still having a baby. It's okay." I told her, she still didn't move a muscle. I pecked her forehead and left the room. I walked to the front desk and got the papers to sign her out.
"What happened?" I turned around and there was Alexis, ready to bombard me with questions.
"There was twins." I said.
"What do you mean was?" She asked, her voice sounded scared.
"One died, if we got here any later the other one would be dead to, I saved a baby Alexis. My baby. Calum's healthy and so is the baby." I said, looking back down at the release forms.
"I'm sorry Cameron, but that's amazing that you're still having a baby!" She shrieked.
"I never said it wasn't. I'm honestly happy she didn't have twins. I mean, niether of us have any parenting experience and having twins would be to much." I told her, handing the lady at the front desk the forms.
"So is she good to go?" Alexis asked me.
"Yup, we just have to wait for her to meet us here." I told her and she nodded.
"Okay. Is the honeymoon trip cancelled?" She asked.
"Is this your last question?" I asked, kind of laughing.
"Yes." She said, smiling.
"I believe it is cancelled. I don't want to risk anything." I told her.
"Understood, when are you going to look at houses?" She asked and I glared at her.
"Sorry, but will you answer that one?" She asked again.
"Fine, we're going to look tomorrow. Wanna come with us?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Mr. Dallas?" I heard. I turned around and there was the nurse with Calum in a wheel-chair.
"She's all ready to go." She said, helping Calum stand up.
"Hey" Calum mumbled, walking over to me.
"Hey." I replied, embracing her into a hug.
"I don't wanna go anywhere no more." She mumbled in my ear.
"Me either. Let's just go home." I said. We walked out of the hospital doors and headed towards the car. Lexi went towards her car. Once we both got into the car, Calum broke down in tears.
"I'm sorry Cameron." She said.
"Sorry for what?" I asked, honestly confused.
"I ruened our trip." She said and I rolled my eyes.
"So? I don't care about the trip no more, I care about you and that baby." I told her.
"Really?" She asked and I nodded.
"We are going house hunting tomorrow, no need to unpack, since we're moving anyways." I said/
"Okay. Cameron?" She asked.
"Yes?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
