San was in the middle of practice and kept messing up the choreo. He jumped the wrong way, slid at the wrong time and fell several times trying to do his signature move in Answer.
Recently, their chores have been getting more difficult and san, despite being a good dancer, just isnt as experienced at the others.
San fell down yet again abd yelled angrily as he hit the smooth wood.
Hongjoon ran over to turn off the music.
"Sannie, are you alright?" Wooyoung knelt down next to San who was still lying on the floor.
"I'm fine." San said angrily as he took wooyoungs hand and stood up.
"Why dont we take a break? We can practice some more in a little bit okay?" Seonghwa said placing his hand on sans shoulder.
"No! No. I can keep going. Im fine." San said as he got into his position.
"San, come on buddy, you need to rest a bit." Mingi said with a smile.
"Dont you guys get it!? If I rest I wont get better at this dance! I have to keep practicing until I get it!" San exploded, clenching his fists tightly.
"Sannie, please call down." Jongho pleaded.
"I AM CALM!" San screamed before storming out.
Wooyoung tried to follow him but seonghwa grabbed him.
"Let him be, he needs to cool down."
Wooyoung nodded sadly.
They continued to practice, all woried about San.
San slammed his bedroom door and screamed into his pillow. He was angry at himself, not only for messing up but for being so rude to his members. He curled up in his bed and angrily dozed off to sleep.
He woke up a few hours later finding a note on the fridge.
Hey sannie, we all went out to get dinner, we'll bring it back soon, we didnt wanna wake you. See you at home. -wooyoung
San sighed as he read the note. He threw it in the trash and walked down to the practice room.
He blasted the music through the speakers and began dancing. It was going well up until halfway through the song. He slipped and turned at the wrong time.
He cursed loudly as he got ready for his signature move.He bent his knees and quickly began decending downwards. He almost made it but fell hard onto the hardwood floor.
He screamed angrily and punched the ground, sweat dripping down his face.
He got up and tried it several more times failing each time.
It was his fifteenth try and he was almost at his breaking point.
He fell on last time and snapped.
As soon as he hit the ground, tears began falling down his cheeks.
He curled in on himself as he sobbed painfully.
He was so tired mentally, and physically.
He screamed into his arm as he sobbed loudly.
Wooyoung was walking past the practice room looking for his bag he left after practice but stopped when he heard sans sobbing.
He quickly turned the handle and ran into the room.
"San!?" Wooyoung yelled as he closed the door and ran to his friend.
He knelt down placing his hand on sans back.
"Sannie? It's wooyoung, can you hear me?"
Wooyoungs voice was calm and gentle.
San slowly raised his head up and looked at wooyoung.
"Woo...." His voice cracked as more tears slipped down his red cheeks.
Wooyoung grabbed the taller and pulled him into his arms tightly.
San buried his face in his chest as he continued to cry.
Wooyoung ran his fingers through sans blonde hair with one hand and rubbed his back with the other.
"Sannie? Please tell me what's upsetting you. I can't stand to see you like this." Wooyoung said feeling sans body tremble.
San whimpered sadly as he tried to speak.
"I'm trying wooyoungie...im really trying but I can't....i can't seem to get anything right..." Sans voice cracked through his sentence, his grip on wooyoungs shirt tightening.
"What do you mean sannie? Are you talking about the choreo?"
San nodded into wooyoungs chest.
"Aww, sannie, you're doing amazing, you dont need to stress out hyung."
San calmed a little but his built up frustration wouldnt let his tears stop.
Wooyoung pulled away from San for a moment. He placed both of his hands on either side of sans face, wiping his wet cheeks with his thumbs.
"I'm sorry wooyoungie.." San said in a quiet raspy voice.
"Sannie, why are you apologizing? You've done nothing wrong."
"I didnt mean to scream at you guys earlier...i just, I don't wanna let this team down woo. I feel like I'm not progressing, all of you guys are amazing dancers and I don't have any experience... I just feel like... Like a joke."
"Aw sannie...youre an amazing dancer. Youre not a joke, and you never ever bring this team down. We all need your gummy smile around to keep going sannie. You're gonna get this choreo its gonna be okay.
"I'm sorry I'm such a baby wooyoung, I shouldn't act this way I'm an adult." San said embarrassed as he wiped his eyes.
"Sannie, your age doesnt matter. You're allowed to be upset just becuase youre older , it doesnt mean you have to put on an act." Wooyoung smiled sadly as he brushed a piece of sans hair out of his face.
"Wooyoung?" San felt his cheeks turn red as he made eye contact with wooyoung.
"What is it sannie?" Wooyoung said gently.
"Can I... Ask you something?" San felt his hear race in his chest as he and wooyoung subconsciously moved closer to each other.
"Of course sannie." Wooyoung said just now realizing he still had his hand resting on sans cheek.
"Um... So I kinda... I really.. Um I...." San was cut off by wooyoung pressing his lips to sans.
San was shocked but immediately kissed back moving his hands down to wooyoungs waist.
Wooyoung smiled through the kiss before pulling away.
"Me too sannie." Wooyoung said with a huge grin.
"Thank you so much wooyoungie... For everything. I love you." San said as he smiled for the first time that day.
Wooyoung pulled San in his lap wrapping his arms around San tightly.
"I love you too sannie, I promise you you'll get this choreo." Wooyoung said as he nuzzled into the crook of sans neck.
"Thank you wooyoungie."
"Anytime my love."
