Travis always meant a lot to Bee, and not in a romantic way obviously (they're both gay and opposite genders).
He was her first fire team and clan member, he was the first person to do a strike with her, and he was the first person to be properly friends with her since her revival, really.
Travis always liked Bee (I'm a friendly way HE'S GAAAYYY), as well.
She was one of the first people that he met after his revival.
Though, Travis did feel like he was assigned to her fire team and clan to stop her from doing something dumb and getting herself killed, sometimes.
In the normal AU for my characters, the one where both Travis and Cayde die, Bee never knows about Travis' feelings towards Cayde (definitely more than just friendly lol) until after Travis dies (she keeps having dreams about the other AU for a while), and when she learns it just makes their death hurt more for her. She realises that Travis had been holding all this in to not look weak in front of her.
When Cayde died, Travis didn't cry.
Bee did. She was sobbing.
Travis was forcing himself not to.

Also, about a year after they kill Leo, Travis' spirit shows up in a dream Bee has.
He tells her that she really needs to let go of him, and that it's holding him down, but he understands why she doesn't want to. She eventually agrees to stop blaming herself for his death and hugs him.
After that, Bee never sees his ghost again.
