You will be okay. You have no choice.

She knew it.
She knew it.
She knew it.
She knew there was something off about this. Something off about him.
She knew it was too good to be true.
An influential and strong man, who could have anything in this world, coming and asking for her; specifically, for her. Ignoring Yaren, Dede's crown jewel, and asking for her, the neglected granddaughter. It was like a snippet from a fairy-tale; a celestial piece of every girl's dream: the prince charming, riding on his noble steed, and rescuing the damsel, having eyes for no one except her.

She should have listened to her heart, that was screaming at her to run at the first sight of him; her soul knew something was amiss.  Something about his eyes, green like a murky forest, enchanted and hiding secrets, was unsettling to her. She could see he was a practical and powerful man, and not the kind to be smitten by a girl like her, as he claimed to be. And oh, how right she was! She should have known her dream to escape was too good to be manifesting itself so flawlessly.

The sky rumbled as thunder roared and the rain drenched her being. But she didn't notice. She didn't even feel the material of her dress soaking and sticking to her skin. She didn't even feel the cold air seep into her bones. All she could hear was Miran's words resonating in her mind, spit out in such a vapid tone she could hardly believe it was him: "I don't care what Reyyan wants. I don't love her. She is just a pawn in my plan, she is one of the many causalities of this war with Hazar Sadoglu. She doesn't matter Baba-Anne, so stop saying that I love her and I'm being unfaithful to Gonul. Because she is nothing to me."

"I better be wrong Miran. Because I would hate to see you disappoint your actual wife for the enemy girl. The victory of Aslanbeys lies in your hands, Aslanim.", a mysterious scarf-clad lady, with a tesbih in her hand, said. She didn't see the woman's face, but she sounded like quite a stern and authoritative figure and judging from Miran's submissiveness, she was quite important to him.
She ran from her hiding spot with tears in her eyes, as she couldn't bear to be there for two more seconds and confront him.

Why? Why did he do this? What did she do to him that he decided to play with her and her feelings like this? If she would not have gone to his hotel to surprise him, she would have been used and thrown away like a tissue paper, dirty and useless. She cried harder, as her tears mixed with the rainwater from the clouds; the heavens crying with the innocent lamb who was almost slaughtered for no crime of her own. The girl with dreams in her eyes was now empty, all emotion let out in wretched sobs and hiccups.

What should she do now? She definitely cannot tell her family, especially Dede, since he was going to find a way to blame this on her and beat her again. She could not tell Baba, Anne, or Azat abi, as they were going to get furious and confront Miran, who might injure or kill them. She had Melike, but what could she do? More tears poured from her eyes as she realised her helplessness in this situation.
But she will be damned if she let Miran Akso...Aslanbey, whatever his name was, win! If she could, she would go in there and kill him, but he would act the innocent and smitten lover again and everyone would call her crazy. No, she had to play him like he played her. She had to take the reins in her hands. But she could not do this alone; she needed an ally and looks like no one can help her n....

She suddenly remembered something and fished out her phone from her purse. After looking through her phonebook for a while, she finally found the number. She dialled the number and waited for the person to pick it up, anxious if she even remembers her or not. As the call wen through, Reyyan rushed in a breathless whisper "Merhaba! Are you in Mardin, Melissa? I really need your help, lutfen."
