Chapter 1

"Congrats Ice! Ang galing galing mo talaga! You won even without too much preparation. The best ka talaga, how I wish I could also be like you."

" Thanks Cris! I tell you, there's nothing good being me."

" Anong wala eh parang na sayo na nga lahat eh. The wealth, the talent , and beauty with brains pa." I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Congrats Ice! As expected from our Top 1."

" Thanks Jeff!"

Yes I need to win because they expect much that I will be the one who'll bring the crown.

"Congrats anak! " My mother is happy knowing i won as the Ms. Hills Academy. Seeing my mother happy is enough for me.

"I need to go, I still have meetings to attend. Mabuti na lang you won, atleast being here is not a waste of time. Ingat sa pag uwi." I sighed after hearing her say those words. Atleast I make her proud today. Oh well Ice, hindi ka pa nasanay.

So I just drive myself home. But before I reach to our house, I saw the playground where I used to play when i was young. I sat on the swing and keep myself comfortable.

I still remember how my father will push the swing and how my mother will watch us with love. How I wish I could turn back the time when I was young , where there is no problem.

I miss you daddy. I think i can't fulfill my promise to you anymore. I'm tired on making mommy happy. How I wish you're still here.

"Here"

I saw a handkerchief the moment I open my eyes. I take it without hesitation.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Just cry to make you feel better."

I don't know but the moment he said those words, my tears starts to fall from my eyes. For the first time, I am comforted with someone I don't know but thanks to him I'm feeling better right now.

"Tentenen. Please welcome our Ms. Hills Academy, Ms. Kei Celine Martinez" sigaw ni Cris pagpasok ko sa room dahilan para sumigaw at magpalakakan din ang mga classmates ko so I just smiled and say my thank you to them.

"Ano ka ba Cris nakakahiya!"

"Ano ka ba. You should be proud. "

"Goodmorning class." And the boring discussion went on and on.

"Class dismissed." And I keep my things on my bag.

" Naks naman oh. Perfect na naman si Ice."
"Di ka pa nasanay kay Ice, Cris."
" Sinabi mo pa Jeff."
"Kayo bang dalawa pinag-uusapan nyo na naman ako. Tara na sa canteen at kumain."

I'm still thankful that I have both of them . They're like my siblings who will be there for me when I needed them but i'm not really telling them all I really feel. Hindi sa di ko komportable pero I don't want them to be worried of me. Just as the thought of it makes me remember the guy who comforted me last time. I don't know but I'm comfortable with his presence

"Ice!"

"Yes! You don't need to shout. Naririnig naman kita."

" Kanina pa kita tinatawag pero tulala ka dyan." She rolled her eyes. Natawa tuloy ako.

"You have a problem Ice?" Napatingin tuloy si Cris sa tanong ni Jeff.

"Si tita ba?"  Tanong ni Cris. They know about my mother who always want me to be on top, that's why they always make me feel that they are proud of everything that I do.

"No. May naalala lang ako." I smiled to the both of them.

"Are you sure?"

" Yes, Jeff. Don't worry about me, you too, Cris."

I was shocked to saw my mother at this hour in the house.

"Oh, Ice mabuti na lang nandito ka na. I prepared your documents for your entrance exam in UST."

"Don't you think it's too early for that mom?, Kakastart pa lang naman ng January."

" Mas mabuti na yung maaga ka magprepare tska 3 months from now gagraduate ka naman na." Yeah my mom was like that, she always wants everything happens according to her plan.

"Okay." I sighed in defeat.
