Chapter 16

After a week of our meeting, my mom has called me to go home. I don't know what's her reasons but I chose to go home instead. 

As I went inside our house, I saw someone sitting in the living room. I was shock to see his sudden appearance but I choose to stay calm. 

"Hey" he greeted me and I sat on the sofa in front of him.

" Pierce. What are you doing here?"

" Visiting you, I guess."

" Visiting me? but why?"

"Is it bad to visit you?"

" No."

" Oh Ice, you're here na. Kanina ka pa hinihintay nitong si Acher." Mom greeted me but I showed her a confused look.

"You haven't tell her I guess."

"Not yet, tita"

" Well, I think you two should talk about it later after dinner. Kumain muna tayo."

Pierce and mom really had a good conversation  and I just stay silent and will only speak if they ask me.

After the awkward dinner, or I'm the only one who feels awkward of him sitting beside me, we bid our goodbye to my mother and headed to my condo. He told me that he's here to get my things but unfortunately he didn't know that I'm staying in my condo. He wants me to live with him earlier than expected  though he didn't tell his reasons for that.

We used my car in going to my condo and he let our driver send his car to his house. Upon riding in the elevator to reach my unit, he keeps on looking at me like studying me if there's something wrong with me.

"Why?" Hindi na ako nakatiis at tinanong ko na siya.

"You look  tense." After that statement, I think I become more tense. He actually notice that! I calm myself first before answering him.

"Maybe, I'm just not being used of being with you."

"Is that so? Or do I really affect you this much?"

"No! Why would I!?" Defensive kong answer sa kanya.

"Iba ata ang iniisip mo." He laughed and I realize that he's just making fun of me.

My cheeks burned and the situation became awkward. Ice! Bakit naman kasi yun agad ang naisip mo.

"You know, you look more lovely when you blush." I think my cheeks blushed more.

"Sorry about that. What I mean is do I look intimidating to you?"

"Maybe yes, maybe no. I actually don't know. "

Ting! The elevator opened indicating that we're on my unit's floor. I took a deep breath to take away the uneasiness in my heart and go out and went to my unit's door.

After typing my password, I opened the door and I feel that he's following me as we enter. As I reached my small living room, I noticed someone sitting there and watching Netflix. Before I can call him, the hard voice at the back send shivers in me.

"What are you doing here?" He asked with a gritted teeth.

"Ahm. Pierce, he's my"

"He's what?" He asked with a dark expression.

"Easy dude. I'm Jeff, Ice's childhood bestfriend.

"Hey what's with the commotion here?" Cris go out of my room and stand beside Jeff. The moment she saw Pierce, she literally hang her mouth open and gave us a shock expression.

"How did you, how did you" She can't even finish her question.

" How did you what,  Cris?" I asked her while confused in her actions.

" How did you know him Ice! Oh my gosh! Are you really Pierce Archer Ramos?"

" You know him?"I asked her to clarify if I really heard she said Pierce's name.

" Of course, who would not know him? He's always the cover of some business magazines and most of my classmates adore him.  Oh my gosh!"

" Cris! You're making him feel uneasy."

"I'm sorry , I'm just overwhelm to see you. By the way, I'm Cris and this is Jeff, we're Ice's childhood bestfriend. By the way, how did you know each other, Ice? You don't go out with other guys other than Jeff and Ravin."

"Ah, Cris."

"Yes, Ice"

"Cris."

" She's my fiancee, "  biglang singit ni Pierce.

"Pierce!"

"What?" He's confuse why I call his name.

"Ah, so he's you fiancee Ice, WHAT? HE'S YOUR FIANCEE!" gulat na sigaw ni Cris.

"Hey, you don't need to shout Cris! Nakakabingi ka, alam mo yon? " Jeff said with irritation.

"Sorry about her dude. "

"No, it's okay." Pierce answered him.

"Jeff, you don't look surprise with this. Don't tell me you already know it, and you keep it to me. " pagdadrama  na sabi ni Cris kay Jeff.

"Then, I will not tell you. " Then, Jeff wink at Cris teasing her even more.

"Jeff! " Then Jeff ran afraid of Cris hitting him.

"I'm sorry about them. They're just like that but they we're really good. "

"I know. I can see it in your eyes. " We end up looking at each other's eyes when we're interrupted by the sudden fake cough of Jeff.

"Ehem, mukhang nakakaistorbo na kami. Common Jeff, iwan na muna natin sila. Ice, Archer, continue what you're doing don't mind us, bye."

" Cris!, Jeff!"

"I think let's start packing your things."

" Just sit there and wait for me. I'll just pack my things. "

"I'll help you. I think this is your room, right?"

He pointed the door on his right.

"Yes."

"Okay, let's go, let's start packing. "

"Wait, what?"

"Nice undies, huh!" I saw him holding my red lace undies.

"Pierce!" Kinuha ko agad ito at tinago sa likod ko. Alam kong sobrang pula na ng mukha ko ng dahil sa kahihiyan.

"What? Are you shy? You don't have to."

"Of course! Are you teasing me, Pierce?"

"Halata ba masyado?"

"Pierce!"

"Pierce! Pierce! What? You keep calling my name huh?"

"Arrghhh stop teasing me, Pierce! Go away with my undies and fold my shirts instead, please. "

He laughed with my reaction and he won on teasing me.

"Okay, okay! I don't know that you'll be this cute when you're pissed! I'll fold your shirts instead. But, you know, you don't have to feel shy with that, when we get married, I can see it everyday and maybe I'll be the one to buy that for you someday."

"Argggghhhhh Pierce!" Then he ran while I'm throwing him my shirts. He continued to laughed while I'm so annoyed with him teasing me. Looks like  I'm more comfortable with him now kaysa kanina. I hope we'll live harmoniously together. I do really hope.

"You don't look tense with me anymore. I think pissing you is effective to break that tense with you."

"Yeah, thanks for pissing me." I answered him with sarcasm.
