Free From The Cage

Chapter 3

It's been weeks since the class started. Yes, I'm already in college. I already have the condo unit which mom promise to give to me if i graduated with flying colors.

Finally, it's the start of the freedom that I desire to achieve. It's the start of unlocking those locks that hinders me from opening my cage, and finally, hope is rising that I will be able to fly away from this cage.

Because of thinking those thoughts, I wasn't able to focus on walking and I accidentally bumped with someone and now, all the books that i'm bringing are scattered on the floor.

"I'm so sorry Miss. I didn't notice you. Nagmamadali kasi ako." I wasn't able to answer him immediately because my face was focus on looking at him.

"Miss?"

"Y-yes. It's okay, it's actually my fault for not looking and focusing while walking." Shit! Nakakahiya ka talaga Ice. You are not like this but I actually admitted that he's handsome that will make other girls drool of him. Gosh Ice! Ano ba yang iniisip mo!

"Okay, still I'm sorry. I have to go." Then he passed by me.

"Hey Ice, bakit nandyan ka pa? Come on, malapit nang mag time." I was shocked by her presence. Syre was now standing beside me.

"O-okay". Then, we both go to our classroom. Syre is my classmate in all of my class and she's really like Cris that's why it makes me feel that i'm with Cris all the time. Anyway, i'm still thankful for knowing her.

"Come on Ice, sumama ka na samin." Yaya sakin ni Eli, one of our classmates also.

"Sige na Ice please. Hindi ka naman maOOP eh. Actually , I will also bring my cousin para may kasama ka, Please?" I really don't want to go with them. Pano ba naman,they will go with their boyfriends, and how about me? OP talaga ko dun.

"Please Ice." Magaling talaga mangumbinsi to si Syre eh.

" Okay. Basta ba I'll be home before 8pm." I sighed and answered in defeat.

"Yiieee. Thank you Ice! Promise, you'll be home before 8pm. Ipapahatid kita sa cousin ko."

"Okay. Whatever"

"Ice? Where are you na?" Syre called me for this.

"I'm on my way. Easy Syre. Pupunta ko."I replied to her with a voice of assurance.

"Mabuti naman. Malapit na din kami." Umuwi muna kami before going somewhere. And Syre convinced me not to bring my car because her cousin will gonna be the one who'll send me home later.

"Okay. Malapit na din ako. Bye"

As I arrived on the said place, I already saw them waiting for me on the entrance of the gate.

"Ice. Mabuti nandito ka na."

"Yeah", I answered her lazily.

"Oh wait, hintayin lang natin si Rav. Pabalik na yun may kinuha lang siya sa kotse niya."

"Okay."

" Oh nandito na pala si Rav." Syre said excitingly.

" Rav! Come here. I want you to meet Ice."  As  I turned around, I saw the guy that I will not really  forget. Yes, How could I forget that man whom I bumped with? Right?

"Hi Ice, I'm Patrick Ravin Alvarez. Just simply call me Rav. It's actually nice to meet you. " Then I accept his hand for a handshake. 

"By the way, you have a unique name." Pahabol pa niya.

"Hi. Ice is actually my nickname. I'm Kei Celine Martinez but simply call me Ice."  Then, he smiled to me. Gosh Ice. Wag mo namang ipahalata na nagagwapuhan ka sa kanya.

"You still have a good name, indeed." I start to feel the heat rising to my face. Sana hindi halata.
I just smiled and went beside Syre.

So we eat first before going to watch a movie.
Para tuloy kaming nagtriple date. Tsk. Parang alam ko na ang pinaplano nila Syre at Eli.

Syre and Eli are always with their boyfriends, so ang ending kaming dalawa ni Rav ang palaging magkatabi sa may likod nila. What would I expect, right ?

I actually enjoyed the company of Rav. You will never ran out of words when you are talking to him. Marami syang kwento and ideas kaya di kami nauubusan ng kwento. We ended this day with a big smile on our face.

"Ingat kayo ha. Rav ikaw na bahala kay Ice. Please take care of her ha."

"Don't worry Syre. I'll surely take care of Ice. " Just hearing those words makes my heart flattered.

We went to our separate ways after we bid our goodbyes to each other. On our way home, he turn on the music player and plays our favorite songs. It's really nice to know someone whom you share the same kind of music.

"Thank you so much Rav. I really enjoyed your company."

"Welcome. Hoping for the next time." Then , I smiled.
