Rav and I continue to talk and laugh with each other. Eto yung nagustuhan ko kay Rav eh, hindi ka mabobored na kasama siya. We stop talking the moment we heard someone coughing at our back.
"Mukhang nag eenjoy ka Ice ah. Kaya pala hindi ka nagrereklamo at hindi mo kami tinatadtad ng text ni Jeff. Mind introducing him to us.? Mataray na wika ni Cris kaya inirapan ko na lang din siya.
"By the way Cris and Jeff, this is Rav."
"Hello. Nice to meet you Jeff and Cris." Then he offers handshake to my two friends which they both gladly accept.
"Nice to meet you too Rav. It's nice to see our friend having friends now. Is she really your friend?" Malisyosong tanong ni Cris kay Rav na siya namang kinatawa ni Rav. Napakamasayahin naman ng lalaking to.
" Cris! Ano ka ba naman, nakakahiya kay Rav. We're friends okay? Pinsan nga pala siya ni Syre. Remember her?"
"Oh yah. Yung friend mong blonde ang buhok."
"Bakit nga pala natagalan kayo?" Napairap tuloy si Cris kay Jeff.
"What?" Tanong ni Jeff kay Cris.
"Paano ba naman kasi yung isa dyan Ice, nakita yung friend niya tapos ayun nagkwentuhan na. Nakalimutan yata na may pupuntahan kami." Sasagot pa sana si Jeff kaya lang pinigilan ko na lang. Nako panigurado mag tatalo na naman yang dalawang yan.
"I'm sorry about them Rav, ganan lang talaga sila."
"No worries. Tutal may kasama ka naman na, I think I have to go na.I know you miss them."
"Okay lang naman sa kanila even if you're here, right guys?"
"Yah of course" Cris said , " okay lang din naman sakin." Jeff also replied to me.
"Don't worry about me. May gagawin din naman kasi ako Ice." Then he gave me an assuring smile.
"Cris, Jeff, again nice meeting you both. Pano ba yan, I have to go na, kayo na bahala kay Ice."
"Sure, no problem pare. " Sagot ni Jeff while Cris just nod to him.
When Rav is gone, Cris looks at me maliciously.
"Nanliligaw ba si Rav sayo Ice?" Issue talaga tong babaeng to.
"What? Hindi ah. We're just really good friends."
"Sabi mo eh, pero iba kasi yung nakikita ko."
" Cris! Ano ka ba!" Then Cris laughed at my response. Napailing na lang tuloy si Jeff.
"So how's school Ice?"
"Fine Jeff. Kayo?" Jeff smirked at me. Don't tell me aasarin din niya ko.
"Nakikita ko nga. You're not like the last time we met. Nagrereklamo ka pa na gusto mo nang lumipat sa University namin."
"Pati ba naman ikaw Jeff?"
"What wala naman akong ibang ibig sabihin dyan. Masyado kang defensive Ice."
Ayun nauwi na sa tukso ang so called hang out namin today. How many times do I need to clarify this to them na we're just friends?
Mom asked me to spend my semestral vacation in our house. I haven't seen mom for a while. I will be hypocrite if I will say that I didn't like that. I have the freedom that I want. I don't need to act as prim and proper in the house. I don't need to be the best that she always want me to be. Nakakapagod din. I even enjoyed my self for the past months na wala siya. Now, I realized leaving alone without her is better.
" Mabuti naman pumayag ka na dito magbakasyon." my mother is talking to me while we're eating our breakfast.
"Yes. Matagal din po kasi akong hindi umuuwi dito."
"Good. Akala ko nakalimutan mo nang umuwi dito."
"I'm sorry about that. It's just I'm very busy in school and I can't leave with piles of things that I need to submit."
"Nice to hear that you're doing good in your studies." I nodded as response.
"By the way, on the 23rd of December, we're going to attend a birthday party. Your dress will be delivered this week. "
"Okay Mom."
After I had a long breakfast with my mother, I went directly to my room to have a video call with Cris and Jeff. Good thing that it's our Christmas break as well as our semestral break. We could catch up any moment from now.
"So, how's your stay there Ice?"
"Fine. Just a little bit awkward. Feels like I'm in my cage right now."
"Don't worry we're going to visit and hang out with you. Right Jeff?"
"Yes but please not with the shopping!" He groaned loudly that make I and Cris laughed loudly.
"By the way, mom and I we're going to attend a birthday party. By any chance, are you also invited in that party on the 23rd?" I cross my fingers hoping that they will be there also.
"I think so, my mom also said something a while ago about this coming 23rd, not sure if yun ba yon."
"How about you Jeff?" 'Jeff mamaya na yang pangchichicks mo, let's drink muna'
"I think we're going to attend the same party Ice" Jeff answered. Medyo namumula na ang kanyang mukha.
"Hoy Jeff don't tell me nag iinom ka na naman!"
"Easy Cris." Jeff laughed.
"Hey Jeff. Where are you? You're with your friends again. " Sabi ko ng may pagtatampo.
"Oo nga" Cris added while also pouting like me.
'Jeff common may papakilala ako sayo.' Jeff laughed while saying wait lang. Dahil siguro ang tagal lumapit ni Jeff, lumapit na lang yung lalaki sa kanya at tiningnan kung sino ang kausap niya.
'oh kaya naman pala, ganda Jeff ah, pakilala mo naman ko'
'Back off Lance. Sinasabi ko sayo ako makakalaban mo.' Jeff replied to that man
'Easu dude' the man replied to him while laughing and go back again to where others are.
"How sweet of you Jeff." Cris and I said it in chorus.
"So nasaan ka Jeff? It's still 5 in the afternoon yet yo're drinking already."
"Go Ice." Cris cheered for me while Jeff continues to laugh
"I'll text you" Jeff replied.
"Okay we're going there. Let's hang out."
After I received Jeff's text. Cris and I decided to go there. We'll just going to ride a cab because Jeff always bring his car.
"Where are you going lady?" I saw mom sitting on our coffee table near the table wearing her glasses and facing her laptop.
"I'll just go outside with Jeff and Cris."
"Oh send my regards to them. Be sure to go home before 10 pm. Ingat. "
"Okay mom. Got to go." Then she went back working there.
I sighed. Mabuti na lang pinayagan ako. So, I went outside and take a cab.
