Life has never once stopped
But death will surely stop for you,
It will kindly pause and wait
For when you are ready to leave
Yet life always rushes by
It never asks about you.

Death takes you gently in his arms
With cool fingers caresses your soul
Life brings you a heated turmoil
Of sometimes happiness sometimes grief.

Death requires nothing
He asks you to leave it all
But life pushes you to work
It demands your survival from you.

Death is a sense of relief
He is a fresh breath of night
After a exhausting, hectic day
spent in the heat with life.

So tell me who will you call friend
life dragging you on every bend
Or death patiently waiting at the end.
