Chapter Six

~Payton 

I'm sitting in my room packing my clothes for me and Tory's trip to San Diego. We leave in less than two hours. I'm glad we're finally going. I just want to get away from everything and everyone, especially Jacob. If you think we're just going through a rough patch.. You're wrong. Our relationship is now nonexistent. Why, you ask? Well, it's because he's an asshole who can't keep his dick in his pants. Ugh.

*flashback*

I walked into the school with Jacob like everyday. Holding hands as we walk through the halls. We go to his locker so that he could get his history book. A little while later the one person I hate more than anything walks up to Jacob's locker. "Hey Jake." she said while placing her hand on his bicep. "What the hell do you want Amy?" I asked glaring at her. "Oh I don't want anything from you, but I have some unfinished business with Jakey here." she says smiling. "What is she talking about?" I asked turning to face Jacob. "Oh so you haven't told her... Well I'll just leave you two alone to discuss this." she said with a evil smile as she walked away. I turn back to face Jacob again. "You haven't told me what?" I asked starting to get really annoyed. Jacob gave me an apologetic look before grabbing my wrist and pulling me to the stairway at the back of the school. By the time we got there I was way past annoyed. "What the hell is going on, Jacob!" I yelled at him while pulling my wrist away from his hand. "Look I'm sorry, okay. I love you more than anything and I'm such an asshole for what I've done." he said to me. "What did you do?" I asked now getting a little worried. "I messed up really bad and I know I'll never be able to take it back-" "Just fucking tell me Jacob!" I yelled cutting him off. He gave me a sad look before saying, "I got drunk and hooked up with Amy at Aaron's party on Saturday." I looked at him in shock. "What? Are you fucking kidding me Jacob!!! I've been nothing but faithful and a good girlfriend to you and you go and cheat on me with the one person I hate more than anything!!" "I'm so sorry Pay. I never meant for that to happen. I love you so much." he pleaded taking a step towards me. I back away. "Fuck that! If you loved me you wouldn't have cheated on me! We're done Jacob! Done!" I yell then turn to walk away but Jacob grabs my arm. "Payton, please! I know I messed up. I'm so sorry. I love you more than anything. Please, please give me another chance." He pleaded pulling me into a tight hug. I push him away. "No, Jacob.... It's done." I say sternly before storming off. I swear I'm going to kill Amy.

*ends flashback*

I finally finish packing and zip my suitcase just as Tory walks into my room. "You ready to go?" she asks as she walks over to my bed. "Yeah. I'm so excited.!!" I say happily as I grab my bags and we head down to the car. Right when we opened the door the last person I wanted to see was standing there. "I'll take these to the car and give you guys some time  to... I guess, talk." Tory says while taking or suitcases and walking past Jacob and to the car.

I really hate myself  for screwing up the best thing I had in my life. Payton won't talk to me or answer my calls or texts. In a few hours she will be leaving for San Diego and I won't see her for who knows how long. I need to see her. I grab my car keys and leave my house. I drive to Tory's but when I get there before I could even knock the door opens revealing my best friend and the love of my life with their suitcases. Tory takes Payton's bags and walks past me and to their car while saying that she'll let talk. Now it's just me and a very annoyed looking Payton. "Look Payton, I know that you feel like you can never trust me again but please give me a second chance and I will do whatever it takes to earn your trust back." I tell her  truthfully. "Cheaters don't deserve second chances. You cheated once you'll just do it again." That was all she said  before she walks away and gets into the car with  Tory and they drive off.

The drive to the airport wasn't very long. We got there, went through security and waited for our flight to be called. It was at least an hour and a half before our flight was called and we boarded the plane. It's about a seven hour flight so me and Tory decided we should sleep on the plane so that when we get to San Diego we can go straight to our hotel, drop our stuff off, and go explore the city.

We wake up about 5 minutes before we were going to land and we were so excited. When we got off the plane we grabbed our luggage and went outside to get a cab. We got to the hotel got a room and unpacked. It took us about half an hour. After we were settled we went out to explore the city. We went to some clothing stores and restaurants then we decided to go to the mall. As we walk into the mall we look at each other in amazement. "This place is amazeballs!" Tory yelled when we were inside. "It really is!" I laughed agreeing with her. We walked through the mall occasionally going into different stores. "I'm hungry let's go get some food." I suggested as we were walking along. Today was a pretty good day, but it was about to get a whole lot better.
