Chapter Nine

~Tory

I wake up to hear Payton screaming at someone over the phone. "Stop calling me! Why can't you get it through your head? I don't want anything to do with you! Just leave me the hell alone!" She yelled. I sat up in the bed to see her pacing back and forth as she yelled at who I assume to be Jacob. He's been calling and texting her nonstop lately. She looked over at me with an expression that said 'sorry for waking you' and I just smiled at her to let her know it was fine. I get up and walk out of the room and downstairs to find the guys sitting in the living room talking about anything and everything. "Morning guys." I say with a yawn as I sat down next to Mike and Tony on the couch. "Morning." They all say simultaneously. "How'd you sleep?" Tony asked me with a smile. "Good. That bed is very comfortable." I said and smiled. A few moments later Payton came down the stairs with an expression of pure hate on her face. " I swear I hate him!" She said before letting out an angry scream  and falling into Vic and  Jamie's laps. I know she would have started kicking to let her anger out if she knew she wouldn't completely kick Jamie in the face. "Hey what happened?" Vic asked in a soft tone while stroking her hair slowly. That definitely calmed her down because she sat up taking a deep breathe and started to explain. "I was dating this guy named Jacob. We were together  for a few months then he cheated on me with the one person I've hated with everything in me since third grade. Now he won't leave me alone. He keeps calling and texting me.." She said pushing her hands through her hair in  frustration. Vic rubbed her knee in a calming way and gave her a sad smile. "Why don't you just block him?" Mike asked.  Payton opened her mouth to answer when she was cut off by her phone going if in her pocket. She let out another annoyed scream before pulling it her phone, answering, and putting it on spearker so that we could hear.

"What the fuck could you possibly want now Jacob!" I yell into the phone. "Payton I love you. Please, please give me another chance." He pleaded. "Fuck you Jacob! You're a liar and a cheater and I don't want to be with you EVER!" I said and paused. "Besides I already have a new boyfriend and he's way better than you'll ever be." I continued. There was a long silence. "Y-your lying! He's a rebound you don't love him!" He yelled. "No he isn't. I loved him before I met you and I still do to this day. More than I ever could love you." I said harshly. "You stupid fucking bitch! I'll kill you both! I'll find him and kill him and make sure you see every second of it then I'll kill you slowly just to make sure you feel all the pain." He hissed. The guys immediately tensed and Tory gave me a worried look. I could feel the tears start to fall down my face as he continued to speak. "You know, I lied when I said that me cheating was a mistake... I enjoyed every second that I was pounding Amy into that bed." I let out a loud sob. "I hate you." I whispered into the phone. "What?" Jacob asked sounding sad. "I hate you!" I yelled in between sobs. "Payton babe, I'm sorry... I-I didn't mean any of that I love you." He said sounding like he was now crying. Vic took my phone and pressed it to his ear before speaking through clenched teeth. "If you ever call this phone again you'll wake up in the middle of the safari..  And that's a promise." He ended the call and pulled me into a comforting hug.

"You know, I lied when I said that me cheating was a mistake... I enjoyed every second that I was pounding Amy into that bed." The guy Jacob said evilly. Payton started sobbing and the guys automatically tensed up. I could tell they were angry but I was beyond angry. I was ready to kill. I take the phone from Payton and take it off speaker before pressing it to my ear and saying, "If you ever call this phone again you'll wake up in the middle of the safari..  And that's a promise." I end the call and pull Payton into me. Letting her sob into my chest. Once she calmed down a but I pulled away and looked at her with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry he won't touch you. I promise you that we will protect you and Tory." I say to her a d she smiles at me and I continue. "Do we get to meet this new boyfriend of yours?" I ask and Payton laughs. We all give her a confused look and she speaks. "I lied.. I don't have a new boyfriend. I just said that cause I knew it would piss Jake off... I'm done with guys for a while." She says. "Does that mean you're gonna date girls now?" Tory says with an evil smirk. "Hmmm.. Maybe. Are you gonna be my girlfriend Tor?" Payton says back with a chuckle. "Nope!" Tory yells and both of the girls start laughing hysterically. "Then no." Payton says when their laughter calms down a bit. Me and the guys exchange confused looks which the girls caught and Tory starts to explain. "Payton plays for both teams and we always make jokes about dating." She says. We all nod understanding now.

I can't believe Payton dated someone like that. He was a total jerk. If I had a chance to date someone like her I would take it for granted. I would love and cherish her with every fiber of my being.
