Chapter Five

~Tory 

So Tony and Jacob have been dating for about three months now and they are so cute together! Jesse also asked me out about a month ago after admitting that he's liked me all along. It was really sweet and adorable. We're both really happy in our relationships and we always go out together. I'm really excited because today is Tony's birthday.! We're all planning to surprise her. Jacob is actually on his way here right now so that he can wake her up. He's gonna take her shopping to keep her occupied while me, Jesse, Marcus, Nathan, Ryan, and Alex set up for her surprise party tonight. I can't wait! I really hope she likes my present for her. As I wait for Jacob, I just sit and watch movies on Netflix. I was watching a really funny movie when there was a knock at the door. I get up and walk downstairs to open the door. "Hey Jake!" I say hugging him as he walks in with a huge bouquet of flowers and about a million balloons that say 'Happy Birthday' and 'I love you'. I swear he does the cutest things for her. "Good morning, my gorgeous best friend." he says after we pull apart from the hug. I laugh and point up the stairs. He takes all the balloons and the flowers and walks up the stairs.

I walk up the stairs and into Payton's room to find her still sleeping. She's so cute when she's sleep. I put the flowers on her night stand next to her bed and the balloons next to the night stand. I took off my shirt and quietly got into the bed beside her trying not to wake her up. I wrap my arms are her waist. She stirs a little but doesn't wake up. I nuzzle my face into her hair and I'm soon fast asleep next to her.

I wake up and see a bouquet of flowers on my night stand and what looks like a hundred balloons next to it that say 'I love you' and Happy Birthday'. I try to get up but feel a pair of strong arm tighten around me."Where you going, beautiful?" Jacob's tired voice says from behind me. The sound of his tired voice sending a shiver through my whole body. My gosh he sounds so hot when he's tired. I turn over to face him and quickly peck his lips. "Happy birthday, Sweetheart." he says pulling me closer to him. He kisses me lovingly and I smile into the kiss. "Thank you Jakey." I say after we pull apart. " Get dressed Pay. I'm gonna take you to breakfast and to the mall." Jacob said getting up. "Okay." I say smiling at him. He grabs his bag and walks to the bathroom down the hall. I get up and walk into my bathroom and turn on my shower. While the water heats up I brush my teeth and throw my hair into a messy bun. After showering I brush my hair out and got dressed then headed downstairs to find that me and Jacob are matching. "Oh my gosh! That's so cute!" Tory squeals when she sees us. I just laugh and my and Jacob head out. He takes me to iHop for breakfast and we stay there talking and laughing and eating until about 12:30 then we headed to the mall. When we walk into the mall Jacob stops and turns to me. "Get whatever you want and I'll buy it." he says looking into my eyes. "Jakey you really don't have to do this for me." I say trying to protest. "No, no, no it's your birthday and I'm gonna buy you whatever you want. Don't try to object cause it's going to happen whether you like it or not." he said smiling at me. "Fine!" I say pouting. He just laughs and leans down to peck my nose making me blush and we go into Forever 21.

After about 4 hours of shopping I was tired and hungry. "I'm ready to go home now. I'm tired and hungry." I whined to Jacob. "No! I don't want you to leave me. How about we go to my house and you can eat and rest there?" he begged. He's so cute when he's like this. I smile at him. "Okay." I simply replied and we left the mall. When we got to his house he made me a grilled cheese sandwich and some tomato soup. After eating we cuddled up in his bed and watched scary movies. At about 8:30 Jacob got up. "Pay, go put on one of the outfits I just bought you and meet me downstairs in half an hour." he said. "Why?" I ask looking at him. "I'm gonna take you to dinner babe. Just get changed please." he said giving me adorable puppy dog eyes. I couldn't help but give in. I went and got changed and did my hair and makeup then headed downstairs. "Wow you look amazing, Sweetheart." Jacob says when I reach the bottom of the stairs. I smile and he takes my hand and we leave his house. We were driving for a bout an hour before we reached our destination. "Okay we're here. You ready?" Jacob asks reaching over to grab my hand. I smile and nod and we walk into the building. It's really quiet and the place is deserted. Before I could ask any questions all of my friends came out of nowhere. "Surprise! Happy birthday Payton!" they all yell. My mouth drops open and I can feel tears coming to my eyes. I can't believe they did this. I have the greatest friends in the world. After dancing for about three hours. Tory took me over to a table where my cake was. All my friends sang Happy birthday to me. We ate cake and talked and laughed. "Okay. It's present time!" Tory yelled. There were a lot. I got band merch and makeup and a lot of other clothing. "Okay now open mine!" Tory said after I had opened everything else. She handed me an envelope with my name on it. I open it and my jaw instantly drips. "Oh my gosh... Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, Tory!" I yelled holding two plane tickets to San Diego in my hand. "I can't believe this! Thank you Tory!" I said hugging her tightly. We pull apart and look into each others eyes before yelling. "We're going to California!!!!"
