Most people already know that everyone with blue eyes have a same ancestor (usually not close, so, like, a blue-eyed girl could still marry a blue-eyed guy). However, most people do not know that blue eyes are caused by a genetic mutation.
Research shows that a genetic mutation that took place from 6,000 to 10,000 years ago, causing all blue eyes. It is believed that before then, every human had brown eyes.
