A calm silence sat in the room, nothing could be heard except for two boy's soft breathing.
Birds started to sing loudly outside the bedroom window, signaling the start of a new day. The sun had yet to rise, the dark hours of the morning still present. The bed was warm and cozy.
A blue inkling pressed his face against his partner's throat, snuggling in as close as possible. He felt their warmth, and their strong but gentle arms lazily wrapped around his figure.

Then the peaceful moment was interrupted by Goggles' phone alarm.

The boy groaned, not wanting to leave the comfortable position he laid in. He didn't want to wake Rider, though, so he quickly rolled over and reached for his phone, turning off the alarm.
Goggles sighed heavily, preparing himself to be hit with the cold air outside of his safe bedsheets. He sat up, swinging his legs over the bed. He hung his head, closing his tired eyes for a moment.

Specs had decided that the team could use some early morning practice, despite everyone's reluctance to do so, (especially Goggles). He had been late to every single one so far, and was really trying his best to make it on time today.
Rider laid facing Goggles' back, consciousness tugging at him. He couldn't sense his boyfriend's presence next to him, and he quietly groaned from the lack of his warmth and comfort. He slowly opened his eyes to see the other sitting on the edge of their bed, head hung low. Without really thinking, he sat up and slid over, resting his head on his partner's back. His arms snuck around to hug him tightly.

"Stay..." was all Rider said. Sleep hung heavy in his voice, evident that he wasn't fully awake.

Goggles felt heat rise to his cheeks, he was never very good at resisting Rider when he was like this.
"I can't, babe. I have early morning practice, remember?" Goggles' voice was no louder than a whisper, his words gliding softly to Rider's ears.

Rider held on tighter, taking a deep breath in and inhaling the other's scent. It was so comforting to him, making him sleepy. His sleepiness became more overwhelming as each second passed.
"Just for a little while longer..." Rider's words slurred, and he fell back onto the bed, gently pulling Goggles with him.
"Rider, I can't... I really have to get ready..."
Rider didn't seem to hear him, though. He wrapped his arms around his lover, cradling his head in his hand as he held his face close to his chest.

Goggles tried his best to resist, "Rider..."
But Rider had already fallen back asleep, his soft snores being an obvious indication.
The blue inkling laid there helplessly, and soon ended up giving in. Rider was just so warm and comfortable...

It won't hurt to snooze in for just a minute... Goggles thought.

His eyes grew heavy, and his breathing became sound. The sun slowly started to rise, the golden streaks of light melting through the cracked blinds.

Surely, he'd be late to practice again today.

But it was worth it.
