Two days have quickly passed by since Dante's meeting with Kaiba, the Grand City Tournament starts today. All of Prism City was eager to witness this event unfold, be it at home, around the city, or within the Prism Stadium. Which is where the tournament was being held. The afternoon had only just arose, and the stadium was packed with people. Spectators had signs ready to display, clothings and accessories of their favorite Duelists, and overall just lots and lots of excitement in the air. The Duelists participating for the tournament weren't present, instead they were waiting within their own separate rooms. Doing final preparations before the tournament could officially begin. However for Yuven Tatsuya, who was still in his room incorporating some of the new cards he acquired several days ago. He wanted to make the final preparations within the comfort of his house before heading out. He wasn't as enthusiastic about the whole tournament as everybody else was. Mainly because he was still concerned something bad would happen to Ami. But he didn't let it cloud his judgment, after all he was going to stand by her side during the event. As he reassembled his deck, someone came knocking on his door.
Yuven: "Come in."
He turns his attention towards the door as it opens, revealing to be his aunt Seiko. This was a surprise for Yuven since he never expected his aunt to return so early from the note she wrote.
"Aunt Seiko, what're you doing back so early?"
Seiko: "Work was called off due to the Grand City Tournament, so I wanted to see how you were doing."
Yuven: "I see, well I'm doing fine. I was just getting my deck ready for today."
Seiko looked down at his desk and noticed the cards he left out. It didn't take her long to know what he was preparing for.
Seiko: "Oh, so you're joining the Grand City Tournament?"
Yuven: "That's right."
Seiko: "I see..."
Her eyes looked at his nephew with concern, even though it's been several days since she got him out of the hospital. She could still remember what the doctor told her, as well as the cause that landed him in the hospital.
Flashback:
Doctor: "I strongly recommend that you do not tell him about his actions at Duel Academy."
???: "I don't understand, why?"
Doctor: "Do you want him to feel guilty for what he has done?"
Present:
Part of her wanted to tell him about this, but the other part didn't know how Yuven would feel if she told him. Yuven looked at Seiko with confusion, wondering why she was looking at him concerned.
Yuven: "Something wrong? You're looking at me like you're worried."
Seiko snapped back to her senses and changed her demeanor, looking less concerned towards her nephew.
Seiko: "Oh no, nothing's wrong. I just wanted to wish you luck, and to be safe out there."
Yuven raised an eyebrow at his aunt, it seemed like she wasn't telling him the whole truth. Especially with how she came back to her senses, like she was thinking about something else.
Yuven: "Are you sure that's it?"
Seiko noticed he was becoming suspicious of her, did he not trust her? It was hard for her to know, especially with everything he's been facing since she was away. She sighed lightly when she realized there was no point trying to keep it a secret.
Seiko: "Alright, the truth is..."
Suddenly the doorbell rang, stopping Seiko from finishing from what she was going to say.
"Who's that?"
Yuven knew who it was, so he grabbed his deck and stood up. Placing them into his Duel Disk and allowing it to shuffle.
Yuven: "It's Ami, she and I are heading to the stadium."
Seiko: "Ami? As in Ami Rindou?"
Yuven: "That's right, anyways I gotta get going. I'll see you soon Aunt Seiko."
Seiko: "O-Okay, take care out there Yuven."
Yuven: "Right."
Seiko opened his arms towards him, wanting to give his nephew a hug before he headed out. So Yuven approached her with open arms, embracing each other in a warm hug. The doorbell rang again, followed by some knocking.
Yuven: "I'm coming!"
After embracing each other for a while, they released one another and Seiko watched as Yuven headed to the front door. When he opened it, the person waiting outside was definitely Ami Rindou. She was amazed to see how much she has grown up, and more amazed that Yuven has reunited with her.
Ami: "You ready to go?"
Yuven: "All set, let's go."
Ami nodded to him before noticing someone watching them behind Yuven. She smiled when she realized who it was, then she waved towards her.
Ami: "Hi Seiko!"
Yuven turned around and noticed his aunt watching them, smiling lightly when Ami recognized her. Seiko waved back at her happily, it was nice of her to see Ami again after so many years.
Yuven: "You two know each other?"
Ami: "We do! I'll tell along the way, let's go Yuven."
Yuven: "Oh right."
Yuven exited his house and walked with Ami to the monorails, it was the quickest way to reach the stadium. Seiko watched as the two headed out, but she focused more of her attention on Yuven. Because she wanted to tell him the truth, about why she felted concerned earlier. Even now, she was still feeling concerned for him. There was nothing she could do now but just hope nothing bad happens to him.
