The next day at lunch, I sat across from Keith in the cafeteria room. He was sitting with her. That’s surprising. They looked opposite from each other. Carrie is a very happy person. Keith is just calm. He just doesn’t care.
“Hey Candy,” Bailey waved in my face, trying to reach my attention. “Hello?”
“Hm?” I say, looking away. “What’s up?”
“Are you still upset?” She smirked. Her hands were on her hips once she placed her lunch tray on the table.
Rolling my eyes, I scoffed. “No, since when was I upset?”
“I saw you crying yesterday.” She snapped.
I gave her the look, the are-you-serious look. She caught me though. I feel into her trap, poop! “I wasn’t crying. I was yawning a lot that day.”
Hah! “I know that look on your face. You always make it when you lie.” She grinned and sat down next to me.
Well, I suck at lying anyways.
I scooted over to make room and looked away, then looked back at her. “Always?” My eyebrow rose as I toss a French fry into my mouth.
She shrugged carelessly. “Well, most of the times.” Then she looked away. She was looking at them. Them. It burns my tongue if I can bare saying it aloud.
