The day was peaceful and the birds were singing. The day was perfect.
Well. ALMOST perfect. For everyone, it would seem like everything was absolutely perfect. The forests were very calm. And there was no war or disturbance from other countries or anything. That was the problem. For the young princess that is.
Princess Ochako Uraraka sat in her chambers soundly reading a book with her pet corgi Peter Barker on her lap. She seemed calm and relaxed. But in reality, she was bored out of her mind.
All her life she was trained in the way a princess should be. Always have perfect posture. Never slurp. Always use perfect manners. Never ever be seen wearing the same dress more than once.
That's how she was raised. It seems reasonable to some. Everyone would like to have a queen who was respectful and polite. Not a wild queen who liked to play and frolic through the woods riding on a dragon. But that was exactly what Ochako wanted.
She got tired of the book she was reading and put it down on the floor. She let out a heavy sigh and looked out the window that overlooked a tall mountain. The view was magnificent.
Just then an idea popped into her head. She quickly changed from the puffy pink dress and corset to a cream coloured dress that reached her knees and a hooded shawl that could keep her warm. She grabbed her satchel and slipped through the bedroom door and made sure that no maids were in the corridors. She headed towards the kitchen. She could slip through the back door and steal a horse. Then she could initiate her plan. She made it to the kitchen but the old cook Margaret was in the kitchen stirring a giant cauldron of soup. The lady was so big and old that often people mistook her for a witch. But in reality, she is very sweet. She'd help Ochako get out sometimes. She was always against having children cooped up inside there chambers "till the gryphons come home" as she always said.
Ochako knocked on the door silently. "Afternoon Marge." She greeted with a grin.
Margaret spun her head around and looked at the young maiden.
"Good afternoon to you too Ochako." She croaked out. "Are you doing what I think you're doing?" She asked raising an eyebrow. Ochako just shrugged her shoulders.
The old cook just sighed and said "Oh well who am I to stop you. Go ahead, young lady. But be back soon. You know how your parents feel about these things."
"I now Marge and I'll be back soon." She responded. She headed through the back door and grabbed one of the horses from the stables whose name was Punctual Clopcotual.
He belonged to the knight Iida who was in town at the moment with his friends. she was going to go find him and ask him to take her to the mountains. That was her plan. And it was a perfect plan.
She hopped on Punctual Clopcotual's back and they galloped out the gates and straight ahead to town. Once they got there they headed into the small village. They were looking for a specific bar that Iida mentioned. He was always scolding his friends for getting too drunk but he didn't stop himself from having a few pints.
After searching for a while she found it. Froppy's. That sounded very nice.
Ochako tied Punctual Clopcotual to a post that was outside and headed in.
When she got there there was a group of people inside. A huntsman who had blond spiky hair. He looked very aggressive.
Another huntsman who had spiky red hair. Possibly his brother. Wait did he just eat an entire turkey leg in one bite?!
There was also a girl with curly pink hair and black eyes, A pirate with blond hair flirting with a musician. She didn't seem too bothered though. Then there was also a guy with black hair and weird elbows. She was about to head towards them when something knocked her over from behind. She fell and grabbed a table cloth to try and keep her balance but ended up bringing it down with her. A cup that was on the table on top of the table cloth bounced off her head and shattered on the floor. Great now everyone was staring at her.
"I am so so sorry! Are you okay Miss?" She looked up to see a boy with a mop of messy green hair holding out a gloved hand to her. He had big green eyes and freckles on each cheek. He was dressed like a traveller.
"Miss?" He asked.
"Oh! Um sorry." Ochako said taking his hand and standing up.
"I greatly apologize Miss. I should have seen you there." He again apologized this time bowing slightly.
"It's okay. It's okay." She responded.
"Hey Deku! Hurry up!" The voice came from the blond hunter guy. He was staring at the green-haired boy now unknown as Deku who looked frightened. He turned to Ochako and thought for a few moments before looking like a light bulb just turned on in his head.
"Hey, why don't you come and sit with me and my friends! It should make up for running into you like that." Ochako blinked for a few seconds and thought about it.
"Wait! I came to find Iida! I can't stop to eat!"
"Oh, you know Iida?"
"He's a good friend of mine. Why?"
"Iida and I are quite close. He said he was going to come here today after stopping by Sugarman's Cafe before coming here." He replied. So Iida wasn't coming.
"Why were you looking for him? If you don't mind me asking."
She sighed and told him the reason. "I wanted to go to the mountain to see what's there. But I guess I won't be going today." She said.
The boy grinned and said, "How about I take you?"
"Why do you want to take me?"
"You ask a lot of questions miss. But I am a traveller so I go up the mountains a lot!"
"That's really cool! You can really take me?" Her eyes were sparkling with delight. She really wanted to go.
"Of course I can. My name is Izuku by the way. Izuku Midoriya."
"What? I thought your name was Deku."
He looked down at the ground then back at me saying "Well my real name is Izuku but Deku is what Kacchan calls me to make fun of me."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize. But you know I actually like the name Deku. It gives you a kind of 'I can do it!' vibe. I like it!"
He blushed a bright red and said: "You can call me Deku then!"
She gave him one of her best smiles. "Okay then. Deku."
"W-what should I call you?"
"Oh um." She ushered for him to come closer so he could hear her whisper.
"My name is Ochako Uraraka."
"WHAT!!!" Ochako quickly shushed him and flashed a grin at the people who were staring.
"Don't tell anyone I escaped so I could just go out for once."
He looked confused so she decided to explain.
"You see as the princess I have to be at home and be as tip-top perfect as possible. I hate it honestly. But I guess I really am far from perfect."
"I don't think that." She slowly looked up at him. He was blushing a little and was looking down again.
"I think your perfect exactly the way you are." She went a little red at that statement.
"R-really?"
He nodded his head and Ochako just stood there. She didn't meet this guy 10 minutes ago and already he was complimenting her and making her feel good. She liked it.
She walked up to him and gave him a hug saying "Thank you a lot. I really needed to hear that." He hugged her back and smiled.
"Your welcome."
They stayed like that for a while before Deku said goodbye to his friends and then they left fo the mountains.
From then on, whenever Ochako decided to sneak out, she'd find her friend and they'd set off to start a new adventure.
I had little to no motivation for this one lol. But I guess it's okay. Hope you liked it. Toodles X3
