Chapter 24: Who am i?

~Kai's POV~

Everything hurts. My head. My arms. My legs. My eyes. My whole body. I feel numb. What the hell happened? I felt a rock hard cold floor beneath me and as I tried to open my mouth a sticky type thing was stopping that from happening.

Eventually I gained enough energy to open my eyes. I squinted, looking around the area. I can't think...it's like my brain is like total gravy mush and it didn't help that my vision was incredibly blurry. It took a few minutes but my vision cleared up and as I finally was...decent enough to look around. I wasn't really anywhere. I was in a fucking dark ass cell, with only a lonely cliche lightbulb above and a chair too.

I tried to get up but that's when I noticed I was tied up, rope around my body and legs. Just great. I don't know where I am and I'm tied up. Is this hell? Not knowing what to do I did the only thing that came to mind, try my best to yell and scream despite what I can assume now is tape on my mouth. It was muffled but I yelled and screamed like no other.

Nothing happened.

No one came.

I mentally sighed and closed my eyes again. I feel so weak...maybe I should just stop trying and sleep.

So I did just that. I closed my eyes but as I was easily drifting off to sleep a loud clanking noise against metal immediately made me jump, waking me up fully. I look up as best as I can to see..a girl.

"Hiii! You're awake!"

She spoke to me, like she knew me for years. "Ooooh, you can't talk. I'm sorry, let me help you!" She then proceeded to unlock the cell and step inside, her heels clicking against the hard ground as she stepped inside and help me sit up against the wall then ripping the tape off my mouth in one go. I wanted to yell from the pain, but I was too weak.

"You're so cute..I'm so lucky to have you come into my life. You know...I can't give up my last name it's important and part of the family. Soo how does Kai Volak sound?"

"K-kai...v-vol..ak?"
"Yesss."

"Wh-who's....Kai Volak?"

The face the girl gave me was a sly smirk, her matte red lipstick making it more sinister then it probably was. "Awe, don't be adorable now! Kai's the guy I'm gonna bring into my family by marriage." She spoke to me. I raised a brow confused as ever. "Why...are you t-telling me this..? What do I...have to do with this??"

Her sinister smile fell into a mean glare. "Oh you're joking. Out of all the men I have drugged with this drug you're the one?? Quick, tell me your first and last name." I bit my lip after  she spoke. She stared at me with that glare waiting for an answer but to be honest...it's a good question. Who am I? "I..d-don't..know.."

"You don't know your own name?"

"I don't know...my n-name. Who are you?"

She smiled, but it wasn't sweet. "That's so unfortunate. My name is Veronica Volak and your name is Kai soon to be Volak. You see..from what you told me you work in a little ninja mafia gang with you and your little ninja friends. You and your little sister Nya came to this city to look for information and you stumbled upon my families bar. You thought you could flirt your way into my heart for information, and yes I do admit you're a cutie but it's so sad that I had...different plans."

"I have so much pressure on my shoulders as being the only child. I refuse to take head all alone so I need a good husband that knows how to run a gang, is handsome, spicy, and a little dumb so he knows not to cross the line and push my buttons." She stomped her heel at the end of her sentence but sighed and quickly fixed herself before continuing.
