"Don't think I'll let you get away. I am your master, and I am determined to have you mine," the resentful, far too familiar voice says.
"Unhand me," I reply harshly. He pulls me in and bares his fangs. I feel his hot breath on my neck. He bites down.

A warm substance hides behind my eyelids. Ugh. Sunlight. I turn on my side to see Lucas still sleeping, his hair in his eyes. The corners of my mouth twitch. What is this? Am I... Smiling? First time for everything I guess... I tap on his head. He makes a soft, exasperating noise. I flick his forehead. He groans and stretches out on the bed.

"Oh hey there," he says, his eyes still partially closed. "Hey to you, too," I reply. We both sit up in bed.

"Should I check on him?" He offers. I shrug and Lucas gets up and goes to the bathroom to see if Jase is still there.

"Uhm... He's not even here," he takes notice. I'm not surprised. "He's probably with Jade right now," I reply.

I get my phone from the nightstand and text Jade.

|Is Jase with you?|

•Dude did you bite him I s2g I'm gonna kill you•

|Good luck with that, besides, you should be grateful|

•Get back to the dorm. NOW.•

|Fine. I'm bringing Lucas.|

"Come with me to my dorm," I say. "Sure," Lucas replies.

Girls Dorm hall.

We walk out of the boys dorm and into the girls. I get jealous looks, and ignore them. I'm used to it by now.

We arrive at my dorm and walk in to see Jade and Jase on the couch, watching TV. Jade shoots me a killer look and I just look at her with my usual annoyed look. Call me stuck up, I really don't care. She walks up to me and takes hold of my jacket sleeve.

"Dude. Not cool."

"Let go of my jacket, Jade. You should really thank me." She lets go.

"I was gonna take him! Not fair."

"I know you wouldn't have. I can tell you have feelings for this boy."

She gives me a flustered look, and her expression hardened again.

"Yeah, right," she turns and crosses her arms. I raise a brow and give her a you-aren't-fooling-me look.

"Okay fine," she admits defeat. I smirk and walk over to our small kitchen. I grab a few blood tablets and a water bottle and toss them to Jase. "Drink up," I say bluntly. I assume Jade taught him the basics. He looks up at me with a hint of terror in his face and gives me a nervous smile. I smirk at his reaction and walk over to my part of the large dorm.

Now would be a good time to explain how Nox Academy dorms work. There are two dorm halls. Boys and girls. Between the two dorm halls is a vast area where students often go after class. Each dorm is similar; Quite large, including two bedrooms, separated by an opening. Each dormitory also contains a small den and kitchen, along with a decent sized bathroom. Since there are no baths or showers, there's two bathhouses outside each dorm hall.

I get two towels, comfortable clothes, and other things necessary to bring to the bathhouse.

"I'm headed to the bathhouse," I say loudly.

I walk out of the dorm hall and head to the girls bathhouse.

Girl's Bathhouse.

I walk into the bathhouse and get jealous and praising looks. Every other girl here either envies me or treats me like a queen.

"What a bitch," I hear someone say. I spot them and shoot them a glare. I lean over their shoulder and say emotionlessly, "Well that's one thing we have in common." I step away and see that the girls face has a hint of shock and anger. I smirk as she stomps out of the bathhouse. I walk to one of the showers and set my things down. I undress and turn the water on.

As I finish up, I dry my face and reach for my clothes, just to grab onto air. That little skank. My expression hardens, then softens again. I smirk. I put my hair in a towel and wrap my body with one as well. I walk out of the bath house, getting confused looks from girls and flustered ones from boys. I walk past the girl who insulted me, who I also assume took my clothes. She has a smug look on her face. I give her a hard slap and keep walking until I reach my dorm.

I walk in and the boys looked over at me and immediately get embarrassed. Jade rolls her eyes and covers Jase's. Lucas just stares and blushes. I roll my eyes as well, and go to my room to get changed.

I start to button up my shirt, and hear a small creak come from my window. My eyes narrow.
"You."
