With Daryl's gun up and Nicole's knives in her hands and raised they both stopped and stared at the group in front of them.

"Daryl?" A female voice spoke. Daryl knew it, but Nicole didn't.

Daryl lowered his gun. Quickly setting it down as he practically ran to the female that called his name and hugged her. She has short, grey hair. He hugged her for as long as he could.

Nicole watched, mostly confused until she saw Rick. Daryl's group. She thought. She lowered her knives and put them in her boots, though the sheaths in her boots didn't exactly fit these new knives.

Rick walked over to Nicole and looked her down. "You were with Daryl the whole time?" He sternly asked.

Nicole nodded.

"How many walkers have you killed?"

"What?" Nicole spoke, again confused. Why is he asking this? 'The hell are walkers anyway?'

Daryl, now out of his long lasted hug went over to Rick and Nicole. "How many of the dead have ya' killed before meetin' us?" He asked, basically clarifying the question Rick asked.

"I- um... herds at least."

"How many people have ya'killed?"

"Wh- three..."

"Why?"

"Two were crazy and tryin' ta' kill me, the other wanted me or Daryl for dinner."

Daryl and Rick turned, walking away from Nicole and whispering between each other. The other people in Daryl's group stared at her, but one man.

Nicole shifted in her place uncomfortably before turning to close the door that Daryl kicked open. 'Are they testing me?' She thought. Turning her head to look back at Daryl's group, watching Daryl start heading towards her.

"Welcome ta' the group, Nic."

"Thanks." She softly spoke.

Soon Daryl's hand went on her shoulder as he lead her over to the rest of the group. "Maggie, can ya' patch up Nic's hand?" He asked, facing a female with short brown hair and is sitting next to an Asian. She nodded and went over to Nicole.

"I have a first aid kit." Spoke up a coloured male that is obviously a priest. He got up and went to a small room to the left.

It almost made Nicole laugh. She is a Buddhist, even being in a church was a joke for her.

Soon the man came back and handed Maggie the first aid kit. She opened it and pulled out a proper wrap and antibacterial spray. 'Dear Buddha, this is gonna hurt.' Maggie undid the makeshift wrap and started cleaning and the wound on her palm before the wound on the back of her hand. Nicole winced a few times and groaned some, but she had to live with it. Maggie wrapped her hand tight, but not too tight. "Thanks." Nicole said with a smile.

"You're welcome." Maggie replied before getting up and going back to the Asian she was with before.

Nicole stood up and went over to the right wall and leaned against it. Watching everyone talk with eachother. She was the outsider, and the priest, which she could tell because he didn't interact with anyone either. The rest just acted like a family. She turned and lowered to the ground and layed there, putting an elbow under her head. Closing her eyes she just let herself fall asleep.

Daryl watched Nicole off and on, making sure she is okay but once she fell asleep he didn't check as much.

"You're worried about her." Carol spoke to him with a kid-ish smile.

Daryl nudged her arm as he looked at Carol. "She hurt herself ta' get us out of tha' place."

"What were they going to do to you two?"

"Gareth wanted us ta' fight, whoever dies is used as their meat fer their next meal. They would let whoever wins go. We were in a room full of candles and she told me to stab her in the hand with one my arrows. I did and we tricked two of the people from there and ran." He told Carol, looking over at Nicole with slightly squinted eyes.

"And your missing sleeve?"

"Had ta' cut it ta' wrap her hand."

"Well aren't you so sweet." She smiled and nudged him.

He scuffed and nudged back.
