chapter 2

We went back out to the gym to clean the mats and we talked a tiny bit about the matches and if we would walk home together since my sister didn't have anything after school. She was home first.
Jake has this silent agreement with his parents and my parents that after school or anything he would walk me home. Just to be safe. Plus he wanted to say hi to the dogs... Classic jake. We always went past his house when he would walk me home. There were times I would tell him to just go home and I can walk myself back but he insisted. Especially during the meet. I could see the concern on his face. He must've noticed my actions and knew it wasn't the usual me. I was jumpy and somewhat tipsy.
After the meet, we walked to my house.
"Good night Jordan. Please get some rest. You weren't acting yourself today at the meet. " We hugged and I continued "I will Jake. But I don't see the problem. I'm fine" Then I stepped on a stick and the crack made me jump 5 feet. After the short panic attack I pulled myself together and hugged him. "Nothing to worry about. I'll see you Monday. " I said in his ear. "Jordan. I trust you way to much. " I shrugged and walked away waving at him. I walked inside to be treated with licks and jumping German Shepherds. Stormi, my baby girl, is my dog I had bought from a shelter for working there. I took care of the dogs and one of the German Shepard's were pregnant so they let me have one for my hard work. Now I just babysit. "Hey stormi!! How's my girl? " She put her paw on my leg and licked my face. Her and I are so close. Weird thing is, she listens to me. She obeys me more than any of my family. So if we ever go on vacation, I have to take care of her and keep her in check. She'skinda like a service dog. She knows when I'm sad or mad. She also sleeps in my room on my bed. She super cuddly. After greeting my family and haveing a delicious home cooked meal I went to my room with stormi, layed in my bed and slowly drifted to a needed rest. I had a dream... It was very weird. I was in a black void. Nothing was there. I turned in my sleep and saw a light. I walked to the light and next to it was a button. I was hesitant but I pushed it anyway. It caused the light to turn off. I was alone. In the darkness. The only noise appearnt was my own heartbeat. It got louder. Then a voice echoed through my head. "I guess you have never heard of the saying. " It bellowed. What did it mean? What saying? "Curiosity killed the cat." It was closer. I sounded as it it were right behind me. Did it hear my thoughts? "Sweet heart. Don't turn around. You can't see my anyway. " I disobeyed the voice and turned around. Nothing. How is this possible? "Don't be afraid." It was behind me again. "Who are you?! " I continued "better yet WHAT are you?! " What is going on? Why is this happening? "Jordyn.calm down. I am not going to hurt you. I have no intention of evil. I'm here to help you. " It stated in such a calm way that my heart even slowed its heavy beating. "Sit down please. " It whispered. Then a light turned on and below in was a table, 2 chairs across from each other and 2 glasses of water. This time I obeyed the voice. I walked cautiously towards the table and chairs. The chair I was closest to pulled out from under the table. I sat down and the occupied chair moved back towards the table. I looked around still not seeing anything but black. When I looked back towards the chair i was meet with the familiar hazel eyes and brown hair. She looked like she was in her 20's. She looked like me? My heart continued it heavy beating but louder than the last. "Jordyn.please.let me explain. " She looked down at her hands. I stayed silent. Willing to listen to her explanation. "I am you. 5 years from now. " I was right. She's 20 years old. She continued. "Jordyn you are now in a coma. You will not wake up for 2 months. When you pushed that button you faded into the deepest sleep you could. That was your brains way of clicking off for a while and going to sleep as well. " She was interrupted by the sounds of barking. " Stormi noticed.
