Regret

Zuri felt miserable, She didnt like kion and when she finally did, he already found someone else. Zuri spent most of the days laying down in pride rock crying to herself quietly. Kiara and Tiffu tried to comfort her but it was no use, Zuri still regretted pushing Kion away when he tried to hit on her.

As for Kion, him and Fuli were a happy couple, Kion was with a girl that appreciated him. Every day after patrol, Kion and fuli would hang out together. Fuli appreciated the affection Kion showed her.

Meanwhile Janja was getting irritated with Kion and The Lion Guard, so he devised a plan to kill The royal family when they wouldn't notice. Janja and his clan began to observe everyone's schedule so they would know when the time to attack was perfect. After 2 weeks, the plan was ready to be put into motion. 

That night, Janja and his clan managed to sneak through everyone and make their way up to pride rock. Everyone was careful not to make a sound (for once). Once everyone was asleep, they went into the den where everyone was in,and then they spotted the royal family. Everyone raised their paw, ready to slit their throats and gain control over the pridelands where they could have unlimited food. But when Zuri saw Janja with his paw raised, ready to strike down Kion in his sleep "NO" Zuri Yelled as she pounced at Janja. She didn't care that Kion had moved on, she loved him, and she wont allow him to die, not today. Zuri woke up the pride and then Janja and his Clan quickly made a run for it back to the pridelands, barely escaping with their lives. Everyone stopped to process what happened, Kion decided to go to Fuli and talk about what happened, and Zuri went out to get a drink from the watering hole. 

Kion walked up to Fuli's den and woke her up. Fuli opened her eyes to wonder what was waking her up, only to see her boyfriend standing in front of her. Fuli then smiled and as she stood up, she asked Kion what was going on. Kion explained everything, about how Janja and his clan managed to sneak to pride rock in an attempt to kill the royal family, but then Zuri saved him and stopped Janja and his clan. Kion then paused when he remembered how determined Zuri was when she saved him, and Fuli noticed how conflicted Kion was about this."You love her, don't you" she said. "Maybe, she did save my life" said Kion not sure what he should do at this point"

"Go"said Fuli

"what"asked Kion wondering what was going on

"go to her"

"but what about you Fuli"

"i'll be fine, I know I will find someone eventually" said Fuli reassuringly 

"alright, so friends"

"friends"

"thanks" said Kion as he turned around and ran off to find Zuri.

Zuri sat at the watering hole as she watched her tears slowly fall into the lake. She was so close to losing Kion forever, if she didn't wake up in time, the pridelands would be in chaos. She sat there recovering from the traumatic experience she had when she heard someone approaching. When she asked who it was, she saw kion walking up to her,"oh hi Kion"she said

"Hey Zuri, um were you crying"said Kion

"NO" she said as she wiped off the tears from her face with her paw"I was just thinking"

"oh right, that whole thing with Janja, thanks for saving me"

"yeah,....um Kion, can I tell you something"

"sure"

"i'm sorry for the way I treated you, I always saw you as a small annoying cub even though in reality you are brave, kind, and selfless and I didn't take the time to notice what you do for me, I know you are with Fuli, but I just want to say I like you"said Zuri. Kion was silent for a moment until he walked up to Zuri and licked her muzzle.

"I like you too"

"b-but what about fuli" said Zuri still in shock from the Kiss kion gave her

"We decided to be friends instead"

"oh, ok"

"So Zuri, would you like to be my girlfriend" said Kion while jokingly sounding formal

"I would love that" said Zuri as she went and nuzzled him.

That night Kion and Zuri spent the night under the starts, Zuri found the Lion for her, and Kion was with the girl of his dreams, Fuli smiled at Kion and Zuri and walked off, knowing there was someone out there for her.
