PART 3: RAMSES
Hades and I are found rummaging around every knick and cranny of this castle, but Sam is nowhere to be found. We ask every maid and every knight but no one seems to know where she could've gone.
"Ramses...where do you think she could've gone? It hasn't even been that long since she locked herself in the bathroom." Hades asks.
"She can't run that fast..." I reply.
"You're bluffing!!" He screams. I shove my hand in his face.
"Yeah you're right but she doesn't go anywhere else but the- '' I stop midsentence.
"But the...?"
"Follow me." I take his hand and drag him alongside me.
After countless minutes of running around the city, we ended up at the pub. This is where she has to be. I stand right in front of the door with Hades right by me; not knowing what to do, I look at him, and he stares at me back. His heart practically in his throat.
"You ready?" I ask him.
"No, not really." He rubs his head wound anxiously.
"You gotta face the music bud."
"I know Ramses, I know." He glances away.
"We're going in whether you like it or not." I gently push him. Within a few seconds, I open the door hastily, looking around the pub for where she might be sulking. Looking around the busy pub, I see Sam in her usual corner spot, with several empty glasses of alcohol. Her face is on the table and she keeps on hiccuping. There has to be at least 20 empty glasses surrounding her; the old Sam is back to her alcoholic and depressing tendencies. I have never seen Sam this drunk since she got her first scar, and damn, that was a scary day. I thought she drank her self to death, which was an understatement. With Samantha being this drunk, I can only imagine she knew who the man was.
"Samantha?" I whisper. She doesn't seem to look up. "Samantha, you need to look up."
"Fuck off. Leave me be."
"Samantha! You need to listen or atlea-"
"Sam, c'mon," Hades nudges in. "I've already left you, but I'm back. I'm here for you now. Don't bail on me. I need you. We need you. To be the queen that you are."
"And like that's so bad?" She spits and perks her head up. To only think that he could get a response from her.
SAM:
"And like that's so bad?" I say as I sit back up arms folded. I try to keep a straight face with Hades in front of me, but I can't help but silently ball when they get closer. I look away, wiping my eyes.
"So it seems you know who he is." Ramses sighs. I nod, with my hand partially covering my face as I ugly cry.
"But I guess you don't know why I left in the first place,"Hades adds. I shake my head no, hoping that they will both leave or either I could just wake up from this bad dream.
I stand up and walk next to Ramses. I don't look at Hades, which, therefore, I can't.
"Do you wanna go back to the castle?" Ramses asks. I nod and hug him tightly.
We all walk separately back to the castle. Ramses is a mere 10 ft ahead, while Hades is around 30 ft behind. Once there, Ramses walks me up to my room and all of a sudden locks both Hades and I inside.
"Ramses! Let us out you bastard!" I bang on the door.
"Talk it out first, ya losers!!" He replies.
