The next few days are uneventful. Mostly me spending time with Aspen and Fitzsimmons running tests on me. Finally, though, Daisy tells me I can start training. And today's the day I start!!! I'm really excited!!

Getting dressed in sweatpants and a blue tank top I hum a random tune. Quickly putting on some sneakers, I run out the door ready to start the day.

I get to the training room and it's empty. I walk in looking around at my surroundings. There's a couple of punching bags, mats stacked in a corner, target shooting stations. Everything amazes me. Suddenly a figure jumps on me and pins me down.

Momentarily stunned, I see a hand reach out offering help. I take it and see the face of my attacker.

Daisy.

"Rule #1: Be ready for anything." Though her tone is hard, she still smiles at me.

"You ready?"

I nod my head.

"Alright, today I want to focus on mental strength. Nothing can break your concentration when you are using your powers, you got that?"

"Yes ma'am," I reply.

"See that point on the wall. Focus on it. Do not break your character. Think about it, concentrate on it, do not break focus."

I stare and stare at this point. The point, nothing but the point.

"BOO!" Daisy yells in my ear.

I jump 10ft high.

"What was that for?!" I ask.

"When out on the field, there are going to be lots of distractions. Still, you must stayed focused." She simply states.
"Now, try again."

For the rest of the training session, I spend the time working on my concentration. Daisy does silly dances around me, dresses up as a clown, holds a funeral AND a wedding in the training room, and makes a cake while describing each step in full detail (including the part where she eats it). She made it really hard to focus on the small point.

After what felt like forever, the morning session was over.

"Get something to eat, and then meet back here in an hour." Daisy tells me.

----------------1 hour later-------------------

Coming back to the training room, there are now more people in there. Daisy waves me over to a punching bag in a corner.

She shows me some moves and then has me practice for an hour on it. By the time I'm done training, my hands and feet are sour.

I go to sleep at night feeling exhausted and not wanting to go back to training tomorrow.

-------------------Time Skip------------------

For weeks now, Daisy has had me do the same process. It was getting tiring and boring.

But today, I walk in and Daisy is just standing there. Nothing is set up and she has a bit of a smile on her face.

"Iris, you're getting better. It's time for you to work with water."
