IT wasn't hard for the students at Hogwarts to spot the Malfoy siblings in a sea of students. Their snow-white hair was easy to distinguish like a ray of light in the darkness. They both carried themselves with a sense of confidence that was due to the aristocratic families they belonged to.
Fred Weasley remembered the way the lights reflected off her almost translucent hair and how her eyes were the brightest blue he had ever seen.
He would only admit to fancying her to his twin brother, George. Which often left him teased at the silly crush but it didn't stop him from admiring her from a distance.
A safe distance from her intimidating gaze that always showed a sense of mystery in them. As the same mysterious air that followed the witch around. No matter how many other students surrounded her.
On September 1st, he always found himself peering around the platform absentmindedly. And then George would always nudge him with a teasing smile. "Looking for your lover again, Freddie?"
"Oh, shut up." He swatted him away just in time to catch sight of Auriga Malfoy. He would catch a glimpse with admiration before turning away quickly. If anyone caught him they would have figured him out.
"There's Malfoy." Ron pointed out with a sense of disgust which prompted the rest of the family to turn their attention to them. But not Fred.
Lucius kept his nose turned up with his wife on his arm as they passed by. Draco sneered at the family that seems to get under his skin so often. But Auriga simply looked over with her eyes raking across the Weasley family.
Then her eyes stopped on Fred as he sneaked a peek in her direction and he had the privilege of seeing the wonderful shade of blue again. A breath was caught inside of his throat as he took in the sea that was trapped inside of her eyes.
Fred was so intrigued that he almost missed the small smirk playing at her lips.
As if she knew that he now loved that shade of blue.
