Kai sifts through Aaron's packed luggage that's on the bed of Aaron's old apartment here in Beverly Hills. The open suitcase is on the bed, packed with clothes. Kai checks the empty drawers to make sure Aaron snagged everything. He's leaving for New York tomorrow and as much as Kai is scrambling to fit in a bunch of boyfriend moments for them to have, he knows that nothing will be enough. Aaron will leave and Kai will remain here on the other side of the country by himself. He's happy that Aaron is able to get another teaching job since Mr. Crawford basically cleared his record. But still, Kai will miss him immensely.
"Is the bathroom cleared?" Kai asks when Aaron comes out of the bathroom, shutting the light off.
"Yep." He nods his head. "And I triple checked the kitchen."
"What about the table by the front door?" Kai points out, zipping up the suitcase.
"I got that one too." Aaron confirms, the two of them stepping in front of each other next to the bed. Aaron wraps his arms around him. "I'm going to miss this, you know."
"You better." Kai stifles a laugh but he's barely able to keep the smile on his face. "I really don't want you go."
"I don't want to go either." Aaron agrees. "But we'll make this work. We only have this next year and then you'll be joining me."
Kai nods his head. His goal is to finish high school and then leave Beverly Hills behind him and head off to the city. It's always been his dream. "I sure will be."
Aaron pulls Kai closer into a hug and they stay like this for a while. Kai stares at the blank wall across the room as he wraps his arms around his boyfriend. Here comes another goodbye.Rhyannon leans over the bathroom counter at Kent's house, applying his usual dark eye makeup. He makes easy strokes, careful not to poke his eye out with the stick. He just hopes that he'll be able to hold back the tears for today and tomorrow. When did he get so emotional? He's supposed to be made of stone, cold hearted, the biggest male bitch in Beverly Hills. Why is he crying all the time now? Is it because of Cambridge being gone? Is it because that things are changing within the blink of an eye? Rhyannon leaves the bathroom, telling himself that if he thinks too much about everything, he'll ruin this makeup. He looks at the calendar hanging on the wall by the door of Kent's bedroom. Tomorrow Kent leaves for basic training and Rhyannon couldn't be dreading anything more in his entire life. Kent clears his throat from the other side of the room and Rhyannon turns to notice he's dressed in a camouflage army suit.
"I just thought I should try it on before I go." Kent lets out a small laugh, glancing at himself in the mirror above the dresser with an uneasy look on his face. "What do you think?"
Rhyannon is speechless. Kent always looks handsome so seeing him wear these clothes doesn't change that... it just makes him sad all over again. Rhyannon clears his throat and then nods his head, looking away. "You look great."
"Please don't be sad yet." Kent crosses the room to him. "I don't like seeing you sad."
"You could die, you know." Rhyannon says, trying to change his mind. "Do you really want to kill yourself by doing this?"
"I thought you were going to be supportive." Kent says quietly. His blondish hair is newly buzzed and he spins Rhyannon around to face him.
"I am." Rhyannon claims. "I just want to make sure this is something that you really want."
"I do." Kent confirms.
"Okay." Rhyannon manages a smile. "You look perfect."Emerson is awoken out of his sleep in his cell with Coleman. His eyes flutter open to see Coleman standing above him, shaking him awake. "What's going on?" Emerson quickly sits up, looking around the little cell to see what's wrong. "What's happening?"
"It's happening today, my friend." Coleman looks at him with an excited smirk on his face. "I hope you're ready to leave this joint."
Emerson rubs his eyes awake, ready for anything at this point. He deserves to be in here for doing what he did but... PRISON? He knows that he needs to do something to avoid that, something fast. If that means teaming up with Bryce to do so,then that's exactly what he'll do. Emerson looks over at the hole in the hall behind Coleman's bed that he's been carving away at for some time now. Apparently this place isn't well insulated at all. Just their luck. "We better not get caught for this."
"Do you know who I am?" Coleman straightens up, eyeing the hole behind the headboard of his bed. "We're leaving today."
Emerson follows his stare, looking at the hole that should fit his size. The whole leads right out into the yard where they have free time. All they have to do is move some of the tables closer to the gate during their free time today so that when they climb out of here, they will race across the yard, leap onto the tables and then over the fence. Sure, they'll get cut by the wire in the process but it's better than being in here and ending up going to prison. "We're leaving today."
