Ash sighed as he used one of the pillows on the couch to cover his ears as a loud banging sound rang throughout the living room.

"Ash come to the fucking door!" Gary shouted clearly annoyed that his best friend was ignoring him.

The black haired boy groaned as he pulled the pillow completely over his face not wanting to get up. It was obvious, however that he was having a hard time ignoring the vulgar words Gary was screaming and the loud banging noise he was making.

After a final groan Ash finally stood up and opened the door obviously still tired.

Gary's face was one of annoyance as he came inside. "Jesus dude, it's one thing to oversleep your morning workout, but to still be sleep at 11:30 is completely unlike you."

Ash put a hand through his hair as he sat back on the couch stretching his back a little trying to relieve the pain that came along with sleeping on the couch.

"I guess…I was just so tired last night…I don't even remember you getting me home last night." Ash admitted as he rubbed a bit of sleep out of his eyes.

Gary rolled his eyes. "Lightweight, it wasn't that tiring of a night."

Ash just ignored his friend as he stood up once again and headed to the bathroom to clean himself up. Luckily his mom had gone to work earlier in the morning so he didn't have to worry about her being mad at how loud Gary was being.

"Hurry up and get dressed dude. Serena is expecting us in half an hour." Gary informed.

Ash noticeably sped up, but it was obvious he was still taking his time. "Gary throw me my phone, it should be next to the couch on the charger." Ash said before he entered the bathroom.

Gary complied as he tossed Ash the cellular device before the boy went inside the bathroom closing the door after him.

As the door closed, Ash looked down at the phone.

**It's rare that I wake up before you.**

Ash smiled a bit at the message, he had a habit of texting the brown haired girl good morning every day, so when he didn't May clearly came to the conclusion that he was still asleep. The message came at around ten so she hadn't been up to much earlier.

**Yeah, well you kept me up late last night. (¬‿¬)**

Ash chuckled to himself hoping that May would catch the double entendre. He didn't bother waiting for a reply as he sat his phone on the sink and began stripping off his clothes. Clearly he hadn't bothered to the previous night since he was still wearing the same clothes as last night.

After turning the knob for the shower, he stepped in not bothering to wait for the water to heat up. He didn't mind a cold shower, it helped his body recover quicker and Ash was sure that he was going to have a lot of cold showers this basketball season.

After around twenty minutes Ash stepped out of the shower feeling like a new man. He brushed his teeth and dried off before walking out of the bathroom still wrapped in a towel. Gary had already made himself comfortable laying on the couch texting, most likely Dawn.
