May felt her heart skip. She couldn't have heard Dawn correctly.

"Serena loves Ash...?" May questioned slowly, praying that she had misheard Dawn.

"That is what Gary told me anyways...I don't know if it's true or not.." Dawn stumbled over her words unsure about how she should word her sentence.

May took a deep breath as she attempted to recollect her thoughts. When she had picked up her phone this was not what she was expecting. Serena loved Ash...Did that mean Ash was going to start a relationship with Serena? They would make a much better couple...They both had such promising futures...While she...

"May! You have to abandon your plan with Drew..I don't know what Ash is thinking, but you can't let Serena take him!" Dawn continued tired of waiting for May to reply.

The brown haired girl bit her lip as she held her phone against her ear. "What's the point?" She questioned after a few seconds. "Ash and Serena would be -"

"May shut up! As of right now I know for a fact Ash wants YOU not Serena!" Dawn interrupted not wanting May to even finish her statement. Just hearing her best friend talk as if she had no confidence made her blood boil.

"But.."

"No buts! You have to tell Ash about this whole Drew thing! If you don't you might really lose Ash! Do you want that May?" Dawn asked the obvious question.

"Of course not.." May muttered.

"Then stop acting like it! You need to tell Ash exactly why you broke up with him and you have to MAKE him not confront Drew. You should have done this from the start because if Ash thinks your back with Drew willingly...Serena will definitely have a chance." Dawn continued tired of this whole situation. If Ash's secret is as important as May had made it out there was no reason why Ash wouldn't be willing to think about his reaction rationally.

"Dawn..I don' know.." May replied. She really did want to break down and tell Ash everything, but the lingering fear that he would confront Drew remained.

Dawn sighed as she calmed her body down, ever since Gary had left she had been tense. "Listen I know your worried about Ash, but he is a tough guy I'm sure you and him can come up with a decent idea that doesn't involve his secret getting out.. All you have to do is tell him. I know he will understand May. Trust me."

May was silent for a few seconds. Could she tell Ash? If she did it would definitely have to be at a place where Ash couldn't rush off to confront Drew. That made school a definite no. Maybe she could go to Ash's house..They would be able to talk and even if Ash got mad she would have a chance to calm him down before he did anything he might regret. Yeah that seemed like a good idea.

"Ok.." May finally said.

Dawn moved the phone closer to her ear unsure if she had heard her friend correctly. "Ok...?" She trailed before finishing, "As in you're going to tell Ash?"

May hesitated.

"Yeah.." She finally muttered after that brief pause.

"Yes! Thank god! Now we can push all of this past us! And Gary told me himself that Serena only made a move because you broke up with Ash so once you and Ash get back together you won't have to worry about her!" Dawn exclaimed all in one breath, unable to contain her excitement.
