Chapter 21

With Ash

"Serena's eyes widened as Ash's lips moved against hers, and as much as she wanted to continue she reluctantly pushed Ash off.

"Ash..What's goi-" Serena started before his lips pressed against hers once more this time more forcefully.

The kiss lingered a little longer as Serena briefly allowed herself to give into the temptation before she snatched herself away and dragged Ash inside of the condo.

"As-" Serena tried to get out before his lips once again met hers. This time she felt her legs go weak as Ash pulled her closer to him deepening the kiss. The intensity of the boy gave Serena little choice, but to wrap her arms around Ash's neck as his tongue explored her mouth.

Serena slowly matched Ash's movements deciding to question him afterwards.

The deep sound of a man clearing his throat brought Serena out of the trance Ash had put her under so quickly. She quickly separated herself from Ash for the third time and turned her attention to her bodyguard.

Ash also gave the large man his attention. He had completely forgotten about him...

"Bruno..Can we have some privacy please?" Serena said in a soft tone trying to hide her blush.

The bodyguard simply nodded as he headed out giving Ash a passing look as he walked by the young basketball player. Ash felt a bit of hostility, but didn't bother to question it. As the man left the room Serena's attention went back to Ash.

"And what was that about?" Serena questioned as her hands went to her hips. She was dressed in a simple pair of black sweats rolled up so that they wouldn't fall off along with a white tank top her blue bra straps visible. She clearly hadn't been expecting anybody to stop by.

Ash groaned as he sat down on Serena's couch knowing that he couldn't avoid talking any longer. "I just wanted to kiss you..." He muttered as he put his face into his hands not wanting Serena to look directly at it. She would be able to read him like a book.

Serena gave Ash a knowing look. "Not that I'm complaining, but I thought you didn't feel that way about me?"

Ash gave a light groan. "I'm sorry."

Serena's face turned into one of confusion. "Sorry for what?" She questioned as she went to sit down next to the distressed basketball player.

"I shouldn't have come here..." Ash muttered.

Serena frowned as she placed a comforting hand on the boy's back. "Did something happen with May?"

Ash gave a bitter chuckle. "It's crazy how everybody seems to know that if I'm down it has something to do with May."

Serena didn't acknowledge the small joke. "Tell me what happened?"

Ash lifted his face from his hands and turned his face towards Serena, her pools of blue focused completely on him. "It's not important. I just think I need to move on..." Ash finally replied after a few seconds.

Serena's face didn't portray any emotion as she continued to look at Ash.

"In the end, I guess May and I just weren't meant to be together you know?" Ash continued as he turned his head away from Serena not wanting to risk her seeing him cry if any tears managed to slip out as the thoughts of seeing May with Drew flooded back to his brain.
