Chapter 4: The Lie

Steven was leaning in for a kiss... Spinel noticed Steven leaning towards her, and she was confused, she was asking questions to herself like 'What is he doing?' 'Why are his eyes closed?' and more "Umm, Steven? What are you doing?" said the confused Pink gem. Steven froze in his place and turned red as a tomato, Steven quickly sat straight. Steven was so embarrassed. "OH! UM, I was um, I was fixing your hair! Yeah! I was just fixing your hair. Heh." said Steven full of embarrassment. "Oh! I didn't realize my hair was a mess, sorry you had to see me like this." said Spinel with a tiny frown. Steven felt bad now, but he noticed that Spinel untied her pigtails and that was the first time that Steven saw Spinel with her hair down. Steven's pupils turned into stars.

~Stevens Thinking~     OMG! Spinel looks beautiful! She looks better with her hair down! I think I'm really falling in love! I've never had such strong feelings for anyone before not even Connie! Ugh Spinel is lovely <3

Steven was blushing tho whole time, "Wow Spinel you look beautiful with your hair down! You should keep it like that,it suits you." said Steven with a big smile "Oh you really think so?" "Of course!" said Steven his smile was getting bigger. "Well I always keep my hair in pigtails because Pink always did my hair in pigtails.." said Spinel looking down with a small smile, her smile turned into a frown "I miss Pink so much, but I'm also hurt because of what she did." tears started to form in her eyes. Steven hugged Spinel this caused Spinel to blush "I know you do, but you have to focus on the present and look up to the future." said Steven, Spinel hugged Steven back, Steven also started to blush. Steven kissed Spinel on the cheek, Spinel blushed harder. Pearl and Amethyst walked in Steven and Spinel quickly broke the hug because they both know that 1 hug will make Pearl go crazy and overprotective, "Is everything alright guys?" said Pearl with a smile "Yeah everything is alright Pearl." said Steven "That's good." said Pearl "yooo wasup Steven." said Amethyst eating a bag of chips "Oh hey Amethyst." said Steven "I see that your neck grew a little more. HAHA" said Amethyst, Steven turned a little red cause of what Amethyst said and he felt a little embarrassed cause Spinel is here. "uh yeahh." said Steven feeling embarrassed, Spinel laughed a little. "Me and Amethyst are going to the temple, Okay Steven?" said Pearl "ok" said Steven. "Don't do anything we wouldn't do! HAHAHA" Amethyst said dying of laughter she snorted too "wait, AMETHYST THAT'S DISGUSTING!!" said Steven blushing. "What does she mean by that Steven?" said the confused Spinel "IT'S NOTHING, don't worry about it." said Steven still blushing
