"OMG, you're so adorable!"

"Hi."

"AWWWW!" Zylith said, practically jumping into the house and hugging me around the neck.

I caught her as best as I could and she pulled away to look at me.

"You're the cutest lil prego boy here."

"Please stop being gushy..." I said, trying not to blush.

"Don't be so sour. It's not like I'm going to rape you; although you're scrumptious enough to do it." She said, walking her fingers up my chest and booping my nose.

"Are you here for a reason?"

"Other than to see you?" I made a face at her. "Homework, of course." She said, holding up a small folder. "Now that you're out of your coma and all, I thought I'd come and give you all the stuff you missed."

I let her in all the way and shut the door behind her, leading her to the sofa. It's been another whole month since I woke up and I'm in my third trimester. Dr. Bluewater looked at Kasai and verified that he was indeed a boy. My stomach has gotten a little bigger by not by much. My belly button is starting to protrude but Dr. Bluewater said that that was normal. Dr. Market said she has been looking into the weird enzyme in my blood, but hasn't figured out exactly what it is. The only thing that she can conclude is that it is helping me be able to carry Kasai but nothing more. Mars hasn't contacted me at all in this time and I haven't contacted him. Not that I don't want to, it's just that I don't know what to say to him. I've thought about texting him plenty of time, even had the screen up to do it, but I never know how to start it out and so I back out.

"Max?"

"Sorry... I just..."

"You still haven't talked to Mars?"

I shake my head. "I just don't know what to say to even begin to make it better. Does he act like he cares? Am I just suffering here for nothing? I mean..."

"He's definitely not himself. Kole tried to talk to him but he wanted nothing to do with him. Dawaen even noticed something was up because he made some remark and all Mars did was state at him. I wish I knew a way to help you guys. Kole told us a little bit of what happened. I hope that's not too intrusive."

I made a face. "It kind of is but there's not much I can do about it now."

"That's some bull crap though." She said, laying back. "Just the fact that his mother would even say something like that. I mean, with the way things have been going, it's enough to make someone question everything. She really took advantage of a churning situation."

"My mom didn't help either but she has profusely apologize for it. I know she was just hurt that someone was trying to accuse me of something and she wanted to do a little tit-for-tat but I mean... I guess if you wanted to try doing something, the easiest thing would be to let him know that I'm trying but I don't know what to say to begin. I want to talk to him, I want to apologize, but I can't fathom any way to start off the conversation. It's not an easy blowout to disregard and move on from..."

"I'll make sure to pass it along... Now..."

Zylith suddenly pushed me sideways on the couch and crawled over me, straddling her legs over mine, her knee in between my legs. I was oddly calm about everything as I looked up at her into her hazel eyes.

"Why do you keep attacking me?"

"One day, I will get it through your head that I want you."

"You want my ugly baby stomach."
