Ben sat on his chair at his desk, twirling his pen in his one hand as he was scrolling on his phone with the other. Then before he knew it, he noticed Mal walking through the door.
"So, I think I just found our plans for this weekend." She smiled as she came up behind him and hugged him.
He smiled, "Oh really? Lay 'em on me."
Mal clapped. "Well, Seth was telling me about this new town that opened up closed to Auradon City. Apparently its really easy to open up towns in Auradon but that's not the point. It's called Isle Town, and apparently they have the most wicked dance/night club."
Ben cocked an eyebrow, "You wanna go clubbing?"
"Well duh, when was the last time we danced booboo?" Mal asked.
Ben thought for a second. "Our engagement party?"
"Correct, which means it's been too long." Mal said. "We're starting to get too caught up in work again."
Ben knew she had a point. "But the thing is, we kinda have to be caught up in work. Our population technically just grew by almost half of what it was before." He said as he turned back to his desk.
"True statement, But," Mal said as she spun him around to face her. "All work and no play makes for a very unhappy future Queen... which also makes for an unhappy King."
A laugh escaped from Ben's mouth as he realized she was being serious. Even though he was the ruler of Auradon, Mal in a sense was the ruler of him. She knew he'd always listen to her in the end.
He scratched the back of his head. "I actually heard that Isle Town was a little... sketchy." Ben said. "The head of the Guard has been monitoring the town and said that reports of magic are bring called in from the people who live around there."
Mal cocked an eyebrow and then thought to herself a minute before replying. "Uh huh, well looks like we'll have to make that choice for ourselves, now won't we?" She blew him a kiss before walking out the room, leaving Ben sighed before sitting back down.
Right as she left, Ben's bestfriend Chad Charming, walked into the room.
"What is going on my good sir?" Chad smiled he ran around the chair and hugged Ben from behind. "I missed you buddy!"
Ben laughed as he escaped Chad's hug. "I missed you too. How's Auradon U?"
Chad scoffed, "Kinda annoying, I keep having all these out of towners coming up to me asking lots of questions."
"Really, like what?" Ben asked.
Then Chad sighed, "The sad part is most of them are about Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos. Are they as amazing as they seem? And all that junk."
Ben laughed once more, "The VKs are popular, it's not their fault. Apparently their so popular, a whole Isle Town apparently opened up." He explained. "Mal actually wants to go dancing there this weekend."
"PERFECT!" Chad explained. "I'll go with you guys, soak up some VK knowledge, and take lots of pictures for the A.U. peeps."
"So you're not going cause you miss me?" Ben asked, pretending to sniffle.
"Of course not." Chad smiled. "But I will go to play golf with you cause I miss you."
Ben smirked. "Sounds about right."
