JADE
Jade's knuckles are beaming white as she grips the deep purple RavenWolf comforter up to her bare chest in Bo's bed on Saturday morning. She stares up at the slanted ceiling above her head, meeting the other slant to form a fold directly down the middle of the ceiling. Her clammy foot is awkwardly touching Bo's at the other end of the bed. His doesn't feel clammy. It feels soft and way too sexy in a foot kind of way. She hasn't moved it, only because she doesn't know if that would be more awkward than leaving it where it is. But there isn't much other room in this twin sized bed for the two of them.
Jade didn't plan on marching over here to Bo's apartment to slip under the sheets with him. She didn't plan it at all. Last night was so out of left field that Jade is pretty sure she hasn't even processed the whole thing yet. She remembers everything as clear as day. She remembers the way his lips tasted oddly like peppermint. How his gentle hands ran up and down her back and then to her hips, squeezing them. She remembers a strand of his black hair tickling the side of her neck as he nuzzled her throat with sucks and kisses, the view of him rocking his hips up and down as the comforter inches off him to expose the muscles in his back and his way too cute of a butt that she has never noticed before until now.
Bones stirs in his sleep from next to Jade. She quickly yanks her foot away, crossing her ankles and wondering if she should try slipping out the door or if she should stay here and... thank him? What the hell do people do in times like these? She's never had a one night stand before or a random hookup such as this one.
"Hello." Bones says sternly, like it's a statement instead of a greeting. He's laying on his stomach, his arms stuffed under his fluffy white pillow showing off his arm tattoos. His hair looks like a cow licked the side of his face and his eyes are puffy with sleep.
"Hi." Jade says back, shifting on the squeaky mattress. She wonders if it was always this squeaky or if it's a new development since last night. She sits up, keeping the blankets held to her chest like her life depends on it. "I should get going. Minx is probably wondering where I am."
"You don't want to awkwardly talk about what happened last night?" Bones croaks, propping himself up on his elbow as he swings his legs over the opposite side of the bed. "I can't believe that happened..."
"Me neither." Jade agrees, working her mind to pull on her clothes. She's dressed within a second. She glances at his back over her shoulder, his spine slithering down to his tailbone as he rests his elbows on his knees, raking his fingers through his hair. Maybe he regrets what happened just as much as she did. It's not that she cringed the entire time she was with him last night but sleeping with Bones Thorne isn't something she should walk around owning up to like he's a trophy. His name is Bones, for crying out loud.
"I don't know if what we did was such a good idea..." Bones says after a brief moment of silence. "I shouldn't have taken advantage of you--"
"You didn't." Jade interrupts him. That's the last thing she wants him to think he did. Because he honestly didn't. She wanted to be with him just as much as he apparently wanted to be with her.
"But still, we shouldn't have..." Bones shakes his head.
So he didn't like it. Or, if he did, he's regretting it. Jade stares at his back and bites down on her bottom lip. He's saying something else, probably about how foolish he was to sleep with her. Her face feels cloaked in caked eye makeup and her hair is frizzy and she needs a shower and a toothbrush. She leans over the bed, her index finger hovering in front of the back of Bo's head.
"On this day and in this hour, I call upon the ancient power. Make him forget, what has been done, before the rising of the sun. By the powers of earth, water, fire & air, your memories you shall never bare." Jade whispers, tapping the back of his head and striding out of the room before he can turn around and see her.
